[01/27/20] Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:14-15
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 NIV
"God is planting you in richer soil for greater fruit" -TDJ
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil. For forty days and forty nights he fasted and became very hungry. During that time the devil came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say, ‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ” Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, ‘He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.’ ” Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’ ” Next the devil took him to the peak of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. “I will give it all to you,” he said, “if you will kneel down and worship me.” “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’ ”
Matthew 4:1-10 NLT

[10/15/19] Today's simple prayer: Dear God, today, I’m going to seek You with all my heart, soul, and strength. I will begin now, with the real me, coming before the real You. I want to know and listen to You more and more each day. Amen.

Happy Birthday Church of the Solid Rock!!
Thine, O Lord , is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord , and thou art exalted as head above all.
1 Chronicles 29:11 KJV
[08/24/19] Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2 NIV
[08/23/19] For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings. Hosea 6:6 NIV
Those who are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who lead many to righteousness will shine like the stars forever.

But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.

Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:9 NLT
Today's Devotion: Ask with the "right" motive.
Taking the right approach with God is very important. When you ask God for things, make sure your heart is in the right place. Ask with the motive of edification and purpose. Never for self-ish gain. If it will be of help and not hinder or cause harm, then perhaps God will oblige. And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure. James 4:3 NLT
A Non-Denominational, Bible-teaching, Christian church. Founded upon Matthew 16:18, September 4, 2008 by Pastor Doris G. Deckard. By faith, our Inauguration Services were held on Oct 23, 2008, opening our doors with a 3-Day Spiritual Revival - “It’s Harvest Time: What Seeds Have Your Sown?” Afterward, we began our weekly Wednesday night “Power Hour Worship” service then moved to a Sunday worship in January 2010. We’ve made many strides and contributions in Outreach & Community Service with Sandbranch, The Union Gospel Missions (Men/Women), Legacy Cottage just to name a few. We’ve held various Workshops and Bible classes throughout our ministry. We look forward to ministering to anyone who is looking for Jesus the Christ. As God’s will is done, we will continue in our journey. We are a small yet POWERFUL ministry who loves to praise God. Join us as we continue to add history to our story.
