We function as a confederation of churches and para-church organizations that demonstrate a Christ-centered, missional approach to south Dallas.
The Coalition is a collaborative, organic, missional movement established to transform the city spiritually and socially. We equip Partner organizations who initiate spiritual and social transformation by providing outreach resources, leadership training, and program development. We define success as developing leaders who are committed to the area and the people who live here, ultimately looking for lives to be transformed by the true Source of life and peace, Jesus Christ. The organizations and individuals that comprise The Coalition come from a wide range of Christian traditions. Some are denominational, others are independent. Some are more charismatic, others are liturgical. In all things, we agree on the fundamentals of faith as we share ministry within the worldwide Church. We affirm our faith with the ancient creed of the early church: We believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth. We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic* Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen *catholic meaning “universal”
