We invite everyone to come and worship God with us in Spirit and Truth. We stand upon the Word of God as our foundation of strength and security. We believe in telling everyone that Jesus Christ is the only means of Salvation through grace and the only person between us and God the Father. Everyone is welcome here at QBC.

Mission: Listen to the Savior Overlook the sins of others Value every soul Encourage the believer

Growing - Philippians 3.12 - 4.1

This is a video about how to be a REAL Christian in a world like ours.

We are gathering together at
Quietwood Baptist Church
to worship and pray this morning.

Then Bible says, "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time" (1 Timothy 2:1-6, NKJV).

There will be room for YOU as well.

A Prayer Guide — April, 2020

(2 Chronicles 7:12-14, CSB) — 12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night and said to him: I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple of sacrifice. 13 If I shut the sky so there is no rain, or if I command the grasshopper to consume the land, or if I send pestilence on my people, 14 and my people, who bear my name, humble themselves, pray and seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

In this passage, we see the Lord responding to a prayer offered by Solomon as the temple in Jerusalem was being dedicated. The Lord makes a promise to His people, a promise of revival, of renewal, of restoration. In context, the Lord is speaking of situations in which He has sent afflictions because of the failures of His people. Is the current pandemic an affliction sent by God? I would not make that assumption. Nevertheless, God’s people find themselves in in the midst of a tragic situation and much in need of divine assistance.

In the midst of tragedy and tremendous need, what better remedy may we seek than Divine intervention?!?! In the midst of such a situation the people of God ought to resort to the prayer closet. I am not one to tell people HOW they must pray or WHAT they must pray. It does seem important at this time that God’s people PRAY!

The following is offered as a guide to assist in praying in this perilous time. Use it as you find it helpful for you.

Almighty and loving Father,
You are the awesome God, Creator and Sustainer, the Savior.
Praise be to You for Who are and for all You have done.

Lord, I humble myself.
I acknowledge my limitations and neediness.
I take my place as Your servant according to Your will.
Let Your Kingdom come and Your will be in me and around me.

I come to you to confess MY sins, and to ask for forgiveness.
I am sorry for things I ought to have done, but did them not.
I am sorry for things that I should not have done, but I did them anyway.
Please forgive me, indeed forgive our nation.

Lord, I seek your Face, Your presence.
Father I love You; I adore You.
I worship You and praise Your holy Name.
I come to climb into Your lap, because I need You to hold me, calm and comfort me.

Thank You for Your love, mercy, kindness and grace.

Now, Father, I intercede. I prayer for :

Almighty God, our Heavenly Father,
Lead us in the paths of righteousness, for Your names sake.
Let goodness and mercy be upon us.

Now, according to Psalm 91, we pray . . .
LORD . . .
We make You our refuge;
We make You our dwelling place.
We set our hearts upon You.
We CALL OUT to YOU —

We ask IF IT PLEASE YOU …
That no harm will come to us;
That no plague may come near;
That You would deliver us
That You would rescue us;
That angels would protect us;
That You would give us honor, according to your will;
That You would satisfy us with life;
That You would show us Your salvation;
Like Moses long ago, we ask that You would show us Your GLORY.

Lord, let Your Kingdom come and Your Will be done in us;
Give us all we need every day.
Forgive us, and help us to forgive.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Clothe us in Your spiritual armor:
Helmet of salvation;
Breastplate of righteousness;
Belt of truth
Shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace
Sword of the Spirit / the word of God
Shield of faith
Grant that we may stand in an evil time and overcome spiritual wickedness and demonic darts.

Let Your name glorified in ALL these things,
For Yours is the Kingdom and the Power and the Glory, forever.

Father, inasmuch as You are able to DO exceedingly abundantly beyond ALL that we ask or think, AND You are able to make every grace overflow to us, may we, in ALL ways, have EVERYTHING we need, so that we may excel in EVERY good work to the praise, glory and honor of our Great God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Father, let ALL things work together for our GOOD and Your GLORY, world without end -- AMEN.

[04/16/20]   I am not one to tell folks what or how they must pray. BUT at this time it seems imperative THAT God's people pray.

Here is a simple video that is a guided prayer for assistance during the CV19 situation. Use it this if it is helpful for you.
