Hello! I'm Brian Barowsky,
Incarnation felt like my church home the very first time that I attended in 2011, and I have been commuting from Carrollton for four years now--although it almost seems like longer! In the early years, my presence at Incarnation was not what I would refer to as “involved," but I was a somewhat regular participant at the Eucharist on Sundays. Honestly, I did not know many names or faces in the congregation, and those who I did meet, I wasn’t able to engage with regularly enough to truly know.
That really changed when I committed to trying some of the ministry programs at the Church. Admittedly, I am still not active in everything that I have tried, but two experiences have given more life to my membership at Incarnation than I ever would have imagined possible: Intercessory Prayer & mission trips.
I was baptized at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Waco, TX and confirmed at St. Laurence Episcopal Church in Southlake, TX. I graduated from Coppell High School in 2003, Texas Tech University in 2007, and my 80 pound Olde English Bulldog is named Buddy Holly.

[09/06/19] Sunday School begins this weekend! See you at North Campus at 9:30 am.
Hello, I'm Leigh Winans!
I grew up going to Church of the Incarnation with my family and was baptized there. My husband Austin and I met in 7th grade, dated a little, but then remained best friends. We really began dating while we were both in college. I went to Ole Miss and he went to TCU. We were married in the church September 21, 2013 and now we are coming with our kids. We have a daughter, Ellie Grace, who is 3 and a son, Reed, who is 1. We usually attend the Uptown service at 11:15 am. I was a teacher for 6 years before having Ellie Grace and now Austin and I are both realtors with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. We live in North Dallas, so we are really excited to be closer to our church!
Hi, I'm Michelle Key!
Originally from California, we moved to Dallas 30 years ago. Here we raised our 2 children, who are married & each have 3 children, (our six grandkids are a delight and joy). We recently downsized from our family home and now live in what we call our “little lake house,” because we can get to White Rock Lake in 5 minutes by bike and just another 15 to the Arboretum, and there are lots of good coffee shops to frequent. Ben has professionally worked in politics and in the corporate world. He is currently COO in a logistics firm. I have been trained as a spiritual director/retreat leader and facilitated many groups in the areas of spiritual formation, soul care, and Christian life mapping. I consider it a joy to have a front row seat to be a part of what God is doing in someone’s life. Both of us are excited to see what God is up to and what He’ll do in and through us as we take this next step in trusting His invitation to follow Him.
[08/23/19] Join us this weekend for our Back to School Bounce & BBQ!

[08/16/19] It’s finally here - See you this weekend for our launch!
Hi, we are the Jordans!
Our family has attended Incarnation since 2012. We have two young children: Zoë and Rowan, who can usually be found dancing during the offertory song or trying to grab handfuls of hosts during communion. Jon will be ordained a Deacon in February, and a Priest some time later in 2019. During the week, he serves as the Logic School Principal and a teacher for Coram Deo Academy of Dallas. He has written a short book on Galatians, and is currently in the process of working on other similar projects. Vivien is a hand-lettering artist and graphic designer. Her work includes live lettering for a number of companies and events, hosting workshops in Dallas and around the country, a stationery line called Road Trip Paper, and custom signage for clients, weddings, and events. She loves using her work as a vehicle to meet and serve a variety of people in a number of different contexts. As a family we love road trips, food, and adventures with our kids. We cannot wait to get to know each of you more as we all begin to work towards that end in the weeks and months ahead!
Hello, I'm Ellen Phillips!
A multi-generational Texan, I grew up in Aledo (outside Fort Worth), along with my two older sisters and younger brother. My family attended Southern Baptist churches and were involved in local and international missions. For college, I went to Baylor University and studied economics. I was an RA for three years and involved with my residence hall, Brooks College. After graduating in 2014, I started a master's program in city planning at Texas A&M University but decided to take a break after one semester. This led me back to DFW, where I completed a year with AmeriCorps VISTA and settled in Dallas. I started visiting Church of the Incarnation at the beginning of 2016. I learned about the Fellows program early on and was part of the 2016-2017 cohort. During Fellows, I started a job with the engineering firm Freese & Nichols as a GIS analyst - a position I still have today. This year, after a nice long four-year gap, I transferred to UT Arlington's city planning master's program and hope to graduate in summer 2020. These days, I attend the Uptown service with my boyfriend Lane. We joined Incarnation in fall 2018. I was confirmed in November 2018.
Hello, we're Cathy & Jim Wills!
Jim was Baptized at Incarnation as an infant and moved back to Dallas and Incarnation in 1977. Cathy was Baptized and Confirmed as an adult prior to their marriage in 1979. They have been members ever since.
Jim has been on the Vestry 2 times, taught Sunday School, and is active in the Man Up program at North Dallas High School and is a Prayer Minister. Cathy taught Sunday School and has been on Altar Guild for over 30 years, serving as captain of her team several years. They are also on leaders on the council for Community Bible Study. They have 3 grown children who are all married. Rob & Natalie Wills, Whitney & Chris Cotten, and Leigh & Austin Winans. They have 7 grandchildren. They both love God, and truly enjoy family time.
Hello! We are the Thompson's,
(top: Heather & David; bottom: Scarlet, Cosette, and Caspar). Over the past seven years we have been trekking around North America, from OKC to Toronto to Texarkana— and now Dallas. We are glad to be settled and planting roots with you here at Incarnation. A little bit about us: Heather and I grew up in Norman, OK. We are both generational Sooners. My father taught geography at OU for over thirty years. Heather's parents started a Health Food store back in 1968. Heather and I met at the cash register at a much later date and were married in 2009. Heather is a thespian at heart and loves musical theatre. I went to seminary and love theology. Scarlet is in 2nd grade at Coram Deo Academy, where Jon Jordan serves as a principal. Cosette and Caspar spend their days with Heather at home learning and growing until they join big sister. When we moved here last summer, we landed in an old historic home in downtown Plano. We look forward to the shorter commute to Incarnation North come this summer. And we all look forward to being in community with you!
Hello, I'm Jane Sibley!
My husband Dan and I have been attending Church of the Incarnation for about twelve years. We have just recently moved to Richardson after living in Dallas for the past 40 years and are happy to have the opportunity to attend Incarnation North’s campus which is only a 15-minute drive from us. We have two grown daughters and are expecting our first grandchild in August. Dan works as a general counsel for a small oil and gas company while teaching graduate courses in energy management at UTD. I am a docent at the Dallas Museum of Art and also a reading partner at Ben Milam Elementary through Incarnation’s Mission & Outreach program. We feel blessed to participate as seed members in growing a new church with Father David as our spiritual leader. We look forward to meeting everyone involved in this new journey in Christ.
Hello! We're Kate & Phillip Rogers,
As newlyweds in search of a church close to our Knox/Henderson apartment, we started attending Church of the Incarnation in 2013 after trying out quite a few churches in the area. Two kids and a new home later, we’re just as excited about the future of Incarnation North. We moved to Carrollton in 2014 shortly before our daughter Emma Grace (now 4) was born. We have tried other churches closer to us, but have just not found anything we like as much as Incarnation. Commuting downtown with 2 kids to church has been a journey in itself. When we heard about Incarnation North we felt like it was an answer to our prayers. We now have Charlie (age 2) and are excited for the adventures and challenges a new seed congregation bring. See you up North!
