Young Life brings the good news of Jesus Christ into the lives of adolescents with an approach that is respectful of who kids are and hopeful about who they can be.

Mission: Introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. Core Values: > Creativity – we adapt to where kids are by continuing to be fun, relevant, adventurous and energetic > Excellence – we strive to exceed expectations in everything we do > Relationships – we are committed to reaching kids through relationships > Consistency – we are committed to bringing stability to an ever changing world of kids > Love God. Love every kid We are a non-profit organization that relies solely on the donations, prayer and support of local parents, friends, school staff and business leaders. Timeline Photos

Last week we had our first ever Wing-A-Thon where we ate 1,800 wings and made over $24,000 for kids to go to camp! This wouldn’t have been possible without the great folks at Shady’s Burgers & Brewhaha. A big thank you to their team! Go grab you the best burger in Richardson sometime this week.

Tonight is our first ever Wing-A-Thon at Shady’s Burgers from 7-10 PM. Kids, leaders, committee, & staff have recruited folks to sponsor them per wing they eat to raise money for kids to go to camp. If you would like to sponsor a staff person click this link:

RAYL ALUMNI PROFILE: Wesley Parker is a graduate of Berkner High School, Class of 2015. He got involved with Young Life his sophomore year and that summer went to Frontier Ranch where he gave his life to Christ. He went to the University of Arkansas where he became a Young Life leader at Fayetteville High School. Wesley graduated in May from the UofA and is now a freshman boys leader for us at Berkner High School. He is what he said about why he is still involved in Young Life: “I am still a leader because of the lasting impact Young Life has had in my life—From meeting Christ at camp and leading alongside my peers in college. I get to see the joy on kids faces during the games, skits, songs, or the first time they step foot on a Young Life property, it’s an amazing thing to get to watch but it’s even more amazing knowing that Christ is at the center of it all and that’s the truth they get to receive.”

We had over 430 people attend our annual banquet and $183,700 of our annual budget has been raised or pledged. We are excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to see what the Lord does through the ministry of Young Life in our area!

We are excited to see many of you at our banquet this evening!

2019 Bus Tour is in the books! What a great time for our @northparkhillwyldlife friends.

RAYL ALUMNI PROFILE: Caleb Hart, JJP Class of 2018 and current student at Texas A&M spent this past summer serving for a month on Summer Staff at Malibu Club, a Young Life Camp in the northwest. About his experience here is what he said: “I would recommend it to anyone. It is stupid cool to see kids being brought to Christ in front of you and I got to grow a lot in my own relationship with God during my month I spent on Summer Staff.” One of our favorite things in Young Life is seeing our friends who heard about Jesus in junior high and high school through our WyldLife and Young Life clubs begin the pay it forward by making a difference in college.

RAYL ALUMNI PROFILE: Andrew Read, RHS Class of 2017 and current student at UT. Andrew was actively involved with @younglife_rhs, playing guitar at Club, participating in Campaigners, and went to Crooked Creek Ranch & Wilderness Ranch. He is currently the volunteer YL team leader at Cedar Ridge High School in the Austin area. When asked why he was still involved with Young Life here is what he said: “I’m still involved with Young Life because the impact Young Life had on me didn’t just last through high school. So when I came to college, not being involved wasn’t really an option. As a high school kid I met Jesus through Young Life and it’s my absolute favorite thing to be on the other side of the fence now, watching Jesus move through my friends at Cedar Ridge.” RAYL’s impact reaches further than just Richardson. Stay tuned for more RAYL Alumni Profiles!
