HEALING GIVE EVANGELISM OPPORTUNITIES

The Church has a mission, not a maintenance schedule. You and I are the hands and feet of God. You mission is important and it involves the whole Body of Christ.

WHY DON'T WE TRY TO REACH THE LOST USING THE JESUS WAY?

The power and authority of Jesus to heal through nameless believers is the same today in the 21st Century as it was when He walked on the Earth 2,000 years ago. In God’s sovereignty, a physical healing is used as trigger event, a catalyst that leads to lots of evangelism conversations. You will find nothing in the Scriptures to suggest that such miraculous gifts have ceased.

Even Mohammad acknowledged that he did not have the ability to heal, while he recognized that Jesus Christ did, as described in the Bible written 600 years before him.

DOING IT JESUS' WAY BRINGS UNITY
When we evangelize the Jesus way we find the body of Christ united, since all Christian religions are on a common ground that is biblical. As believers we are called into one body, the body of Christ Jesus. We are to strive for unity among ourselves in all things. Unity is the state of being one or single of minded. There should be no divisions or arguments among us. "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!" Psalm 133:1

This is because there is power in the unified body of Christ Jesus. Look at what happened on the day of Pentecost. The Bible says that the disciples were all together in one accord.

HEALING
There are those who have been given the gift of healing in you Christian community. They may not even know that they have such a gift. They must have a total faith in what they are about to do.

They can simply ask the Holy Spirit to shower upon them the gift of healing in order to follow the will of Our Father in heaven, who commissioned us to heal and deliver spirits in the last chapter of Mark. This has been known as the Great Commission:

At the last time that Jesus appeared to His apostles, He said:

15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
Mark 16:15-18

Have them pray for you healing with the words found in Isaiah 53:3 and 2 Peter: 24: “By Your stripes (whippings), Lord Jesus, and in the Name of Jesus Christ, may ___________ be healed of _______________.
Optional: May all the tissues and cells be renewed as new, before any problem existed.

AFTER THE HEALING PRAYER
1. The healer, par excellence, was Saint (Brother) Andre, who used healing to help Jesus build the St. Joseph Offertory in Montreal; he said: "There would be far more healing if people 'prayed upon' would have MORE FAITH."

2. God desires praise and thanksgiving: every day the healed person* must give thanks and praise in his or her heart (with conviction) until the healing is manifested: LORD JESUS, I PRAISE YOU AND I THANK YOU FOR YOUR HEALING. Say this faith prayer every time there is a symptom of pain that returns.

3. God is more interested in one's spiritual healing: He loves everyone and wants everyone to go to heaven.

4. The healed person must soak himself or herself in God's Love: every evening the healed person must read several verses where Jesus speaks in the Gospel of John after the third chapter and read the same verses in the evening. This reading must be in a form of prayer: when Jesus says, “I am the Light", the healed person must pray by changing it to: "You are the Light, Jesus!" -- From the heart.

* The healed person means exactly what it says: the healing has already been done in heaven.

There is an additional tool that you need to use in order to eliminate any influence that the enemy has over the person being healed. It is based on scripture: “at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth” Philippians 2:10

It provides an amazing peace covenant on the healed as solid proof that he or she is being healed.

TRY IT.

IT WILL BE ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING!

In Response,
In one minute or less, all you do is
simply say a small heart-to-heart prayer
for yourself and the person who sent you this.

God does not ask a great deal from you
nor does He call you to obtain lengthy messages.
He only asks for your friendship, your love,
your attention from time to time and a word to Him
showing Him that you have not forgotten Him.

Prayer of Forgiveness
Forgive (......... and I) our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.
Save (......... and I) from the time of trial, and deliver us from evil.

Prayer of Love
My Dear Father, Who is in heaven,
I believe in you; I adore you
I trust in you; I love you.
My Dear Jesus,
I believe in you; I adore you
I trust in you; I love you.
My Dear Holy Spirit,
I believe in you; I adore you
I trust in you; I love you.

Prayer of Petition
God bless my email friend in whatever it is that You know
may be needed this day!
And may my friend’s life be full of Your joy, peace and grace
to have a closer relationship with You.
Give us O Father, a powerful Breath of Your Spirit
to revive us all today for Your Glory.

Ambassadors of Christ:
“I empower you, in turn, to proclaim My message to the world so that all may come to believe in Me.”
Please send this email on to five other people,
including the one who sent it to you.
Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life.

What does the sacrament of baptism mean to you? Should you sprinkle or submerge? What is the best age to be baptized? Why do some denominations baptize babies and other don’t? Do you need to be baptized?

Sunday’s discussion series focused on the Sabbath and how we can practice Sabbath in today’s world. It was great to learn that you can use activities that give you the most joy as ways of practicing the Sabbath. In our time together it was mentioned that one way of practicing Sabbath involves paying attention, being amazing, and then telling others about it. This week, try to pay closer attention while participating in activities that give you life, be amazed at how God’s hand created those things, and tell others about it. Gardening, listening to music, reading, cooking or something else. Let us know what practices bring you Sabbath rest? #upumc

Participatory worship is one of the great gifts we experience as God’s people. From singing to sacraments, worship is central to who we are and to who we are becoming. Perhaps the greatest gift of worship, for me, is the act of de-centering myself and placing God in the center of my life. I can celebrate in remembering that I am the created but God is the Creator! And when God is praised, joy is found! — Rev. Joe Stobaugh
