Casa View Assembly of God

Joe, Flor, Adiel and Amiel Communion 4-19-20
At Casa View Assembly we love and care for our church family! Your health, well-being, and safety matters to us. We also believe it is important to gather together as the Body of Christ following the Lord’s command to “not forsake the assembling of yourselves together.” Because of our faith in a mighty God, we should be the people, as Kipling said, “who keep their heads when all around are losing theirs.” We should be a model to the world on how to respond. Our County Health officials have requested we limit gatherings to 500 or less. At this point, we will CONTINUE to have Sunday School at 9:30 AM, and worship service as normally scheduled at 10:30 AM on Sunday. We will keep you up to date with any changes. With that in mind, we encourage you to take precautions to keep yourself and others safe. You can help STOP the spread of the virus in the following ways: • STAY HOME when you or family members are SICK. • STAY HOME (for two weeks) IF: You have recently traveled outside the United States or have been in contact with someone who has recently been out of the country. • STAY HOME (for two weeks) IF: You have been in contact with someone who has been infected or in contact with a caregiver of someone who has been infected. • STAY HOME until it has been 15 days since you last attended a large arena event or gathering. (Going to the grocery store does not count!) • Beginning Sunday, You can WATCH services online LIVE through our Casa View Assembly page. (Go to set up your account (email, and password) then search for Casa View Assembly of God.) • You can also LISTEN to a recorded Podcast of the sermon online through our website: or search your iTunes podcasts for Casa View Assembly of God. • Sermon notes can also be viewed from the Podcast sites as well as the YouVersion Bible App. (Open the YouVersion app, at the bottom select More, Select Events, then Select Casa View Assembly of God.) • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. • Cover your sneeze or cough with a tissue or your arm. • Get in the habit of not touching your face so often. • If you are returning from a high-alert area, we urge you to consider refraining from attending church events, classes and services until the 14-day timeframe has been observed. • If you or someone you know tests positive for COVID-19, please let us know so we can find a way to help, pray for everyone involved and take any necessary precautions here at CVAG. In addition, we are taking the following steps on our church campus: 1. We will continue to provide hand sanitizer throughout the building. 2. We will sanitize highly touched surfaces such as doors, handles, tables, water fountains, check-in stations, and sinks on a regular basis. If you’d like to be part of the cleaning team, let me know! 3. Our staff and volunteer teams will wash their hands frequently and stay home if they are sick. 4. We will continue to thoroughly sanitize all children’s toys and play areas. This is a regular practice at our church. 5. We will temporarily suspend fellowship time and refrain from hugging or shaking hands. (Some have gone to a fist bump, an elbow bump, or an oriental bow, while others others choose a friendly hand wave or one of my favorites is a thumbs up!) 6. We will ask you to bring your offerings to the front and place them into the collection plate, rather than to pass the offering plate hand to hand. Also we encourage on line giving using the Gifelify app. Your giving is important in allowing us to continue uninterrupted ministry. If you have not yet set up online giving, please do so! Download the free Givelify app and set up your account. (If you need assistance setting up online giving, contact or if you would like one our staff members to contact you about this, visit the welcome center or email us at: [email protected] ) 7. We will continue ministry and reaching out to those in need if the virus affects those in our community(s). 8. Prayer requests can be submitted directly to pastor Marcus by email: [email protected] Yesterday, after officially declaring a national state of emergency over the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, President Trump made this declaration, "It is my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th as a National Day of Prayer. We are a Country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these," Trump tweeted. "No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith. Together, we will easily PREVAIL!" Wherever you are on Sunday, I am encouraging you to join me and the membership of Casa View Assembly of God in Prayer against the Corona virus pandemic! The news and our personal conversations are now being fully monopolized by the COVID19 corona virus. Most of the media seems to be promoting a culture of fear. It is one thing to have a healthy respect for illness and what it can do to our lives. We should do that. And be wise in preventive measures. However, as believers, fear should NEVER be our response. The Bible contains 365 references to God telling His people to “fear not.” This situation we face is very unique and we won’t minimize that. However, whether it was September 11th or the economic crisis of 2008-2011, we’ve lived through some epic and daunting disruptions to the state of the local church and those who fund its mission. As we face yet another crisis we can choose to live in FAITH or live in fear. It’s a choice you will make! Here’s what we know: 1. This too shall pass. 2. God is still in control 3. This presents yet another opportunity for the local church and the Christian community to shine. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me. We will keep you updated on any developments as we navigate the virus crisis. “Remember Our God is GREATER than ALL our fears!” Pastor Marcus Casa View Assembly of God

Mission: Our mission is to Love God, Love People, Help People, and Share God

[04/26/20]   Lord, I pray for those today who are trying to watch the Live service online. It keeps being disrupted. I pray your Holy Spirit would move in each home, in each heart. That Your presence would fill each place as they seek you, Lord. I pray for those who are hurting today, that you would give them a specIal touch of your healing power. I pray for those who have financial stress, that you would be their provider. Help them walk in your peace as they trust you. Thank you, Lord, that you have no boundaries or disrupts but you are always there waiting for us to call upon your name. You are the Way Maker, the Great I Am, the One and Only True God. We trust you today, Lord. We submit to your will. Amen.
