Third Church of Christ, Scientist, Dallas

Our mission is to love and heal others. www.ThirdChurchDallas.org

We are a loving church for everyone searching for a spiritual progress through the power of God and the Christ spirit. Our mission is to love and heal others, our families, our congregation, our community, and our world. Our Pastor When Mary Baker Eddy established The First Church of Christ, Scientist, she ordained the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures as Pastor of the church. The Christian Science church, therefore, has no ordained ministers. Our weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson, composed of citations from the Bible and related passages from Science and Health, is based on one of twenty six topics, which rotate semi annually. Each week’s lesson contains a fresh and unique combination of citations. Bible Lessons are published in various print and online editions so that individuals may study the lesson throughout the week prior to its being read at the Sunday service in Christian Science Churches around the world. Our Founder & Core Beliefs Mary Baker Eddy was an influential American author, teacher, and religious leader, noted for her groundbreaking ideas about spirituality and health, which she named Christian Science. She articulated those ideas in her major work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, first published in 1875.Four years later she founded the Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, which today has branch churches and societies around the world. Third Church is one of these branches. In 1908 she launched The Christian Science Monitor, a leading international newspaper, the recipient, to date, of seven Pulitzer Prizes. Service Times Sunday at 10:30 am Sunday School at 10:30 am Wednesday at 7:30 pm (childcare will be provided)

Bringing our prayers to the threat of contagion

Health can be just as catching as disease! http://ow.ly/rzuX50ycDVi

csmonitor.com Amid reports of contagion, it can seem inevitable for a percentage of us to be vulnerable and in danger. But prayer that encompasses everyone and acknowledges God as the inexhaustible source of health can lift us out of the swirl of fear and be a calming, healing influence.

Trust God more—a goal for the new year - Christian Science Sentinel

God is always directing the details of our lives. When faced with uncertainty about the future, we can trust God to lead us to choices that are good for us and a blessing for everyone else, too. http://ow.ly/npMt50y3G7Y

sentinel.christianscience.com Making New Year’s resolutions was an important way for me to monitor my progress in early adulthood. [01/27/20]   In moments of uncertainty, it can be tempting to feel anxious and concerned about the future. But we never have to figure things out on our own. Love is our companion, and unfolds unlimited good in our lives. “I will make all my goodness pass before thee”(Ex 33:19).

[01/24/20]   Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.

When church came alive - The Christian Science Journal

A young woman discovered that church isn't an act of passive listening; it is God's Word speaking to each one of us. After realizing this, she experienced a healing while at church. http://ow.ly/2dkt50xUE2P
