CenterPeace, Dallas, TX Video April 28, 2017, 4:13pm

Videos by CenterPeace in Dallas. CenterPeace provides a place to belong for LGBTQ+ Christians. We help churches, schools, and families have conversations about faith and sexuality in a more Christ-like way, acknowledging Jesus as the CenterPeace of our existence.

Imagine waiting a lifetime before you found a place to belong in a faith community. Finding a place that loves unconditionally, just as you are, and encourages you to go deeper with God. That's what's happening right now in Memphis at our 10th Tapestry retreat. Would you join me in a prayer of thanksgiving for such an event, and for those who are there?

Friends, we’re hard at work making plans for the e3 Conference in Dallas, October 22-24, at the Highland Oaks Church. Why come to e3? If you’re dad to an LGBTQ+ child, you’ll benefit from hearing other stories from families who have asked the hard questions of resolving faith and sexuality with their LGBTQ+ children. You’ll make friends with other dads who understand your feelings and can help guide you into deeper connection with God and with your child. You’ll learn you don’t have to navigate this path alone. Share this with a parent you know & make plans now to attend! Register at https://www.centerpeace.net/e3conference. #e32020 #faithfullylgbtq

Here’s our weekly reading recommendation - a beautiful perspective on radical hospitality, of seeing God in everyone - especially the “stranger.” Not merely welcoming, but entering into the lives of the marginalized with kindness, empathy and humility is the heart of “Stranger God” by Richard Beck. #readingisfundamental

PeacePrints is over, but we’re excited about the next one at Watchtower in 2020! Watch for the date here & at centerpeace.net, but until then, think about joining us for PeacePrints in the Nashville area in March of 2020! E3 CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS
Here's a glimpse of what we experienced at the 2018 e3 Conference! Fellowship over meals, where all are welcome to the table. Christ-centered. Spirit-led. The energy and love created at this gathering is fueling a desire to have more events and provide even more resources to help LGBTQ+ Christians and our families relate, and to help churches better navigate conversation about faith and sexuality. In 12 years we've helped families and churches all over the world, thanks to your generosity. Would you help us do more in 2019? Please remember CenterPeace in your year-end giving and help us change lives. We're a 501(c)(3) organization so all of your contributions are tax deductible. Thank you, friends, for continuing to believe in Kingdom dreams!

Earlier today I got to FaceTime with the Tapestry retreat group. Amazing discovery of self, of God, happening in this place. Here's a participant from last year:

Tapestry retreat #10 begins today in Memphis! We solicit your prayers for our LGBTQ brothers & sisters traveling from all over the country to be a part of this event. A big thank you to Miriam & Mark Upton and their team of volunteers who are hosting Tapestry. Taken from Colossians 2:2, the intent behind this retreat is to weave us together in God's unconditional love. Listen to Randy Porter, counselor from the Broadway church in Lubbock, share his takeaway from being a Tapestry retreat volunteer...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MIRIAM!! Thank you for your friendship and for the countless hours you devote to the work of CenterPeace. Friends, I hope you'll join me in wishing Miriam a happy birthday - drop her a note at [email protected] or leave a greeting here to let her know how much we appreciate the unconditional love, the hours she spends listening to us, and for all the ways she lives out of her servant heart. Miriam, I couldn't do this work without you! We love you. (And thanks for marrying Mark - we love him, too!)

Only one week away...we're so excited!

You're gonna want one of these shirts...

TAPESTRY 2016 begins tomorrow! We're so excited to be back in Memphis and preparing for all the participants coming in tomorrow for the weekend. Pray for safe travels and a safe place for all our friends on their way!
