Day 7: “More than any other discipline, fasting reveals the things that control us... we cover up what is inside with food and other good things, but in fasting these things surface. Fasting reminds us that we are sustained ‘by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God’ (Matt. 4:4) Food does not sustain us; God does.” - Richard Foster

One of Satan's greatest weapons against believers is discouragement. In the Old Testament, the people of God grew impatient and discouraged, on their way to the Promise Land.
They grew discouraged by the way of God, the why of God of God, and the wait of God. They wondered why God was leading them that way, why God was allowing them to suffer, and how long they’d have to wait on God to deliver them.
Through Moses, God provided a remedy for them back then, and through Jesus He provides the answer for us today...Have you been discouraged lately? Through this sermon we learn how to focus and trust in God in the midst of our difficulties.

Today is day 8 of Advent, which means we light the second candle on our Advent wreath. As we light our candle, let us be reminded of John 1:4, “In him was life, and the life was the light of men.”
The gift of Jesus, God’s only Son, was God’s sacrificial and triumphant act of love. During the Advent season, we can look for the Light, we can share His love, and we can celebrate His life, which He offered and shares with us. And even in the hardships we face and witness in the world around us, we can remember this: Light shines brightest in the dark. Love beams brightest among hate. Life stands out most boldly against death.
Sunday is almost here! Join us at 11am in person and on YouTube and Facebook as we continue our series, "Because of Bethlehem".

Advent Day 2: Psalm 139:7-12
We all face darkness in some form or another, but the promise of Advent reminds us that no matter how tempting it is to despair, God will never let us go. As the psalmist reminded us, God will never abandon us, no matter where we go. We can’t escape His love. We can’t outrun His presence. We can’t elude His care. The great I AM will always be, and He will always be with us.
It's not too late to join us in our Advent countdown. You can read along on the LifePoint Church Dallas App, or download here: https://buff.ly/3ogFMlg

Christmas is supposed to be a special time, but often the Christmas season can bring pain, sadness, and stress. Sometimes it can be hard to find hope in a season that should be full of hope and joy. Even when Christmas is hard, we have faith in a brighter future because of the true meaning of Christmas. Even during the darkest times, we can find hope, strength, and comfort in Jesus ‘ birth. Come join us at LifePoint Church and discover hope this Christmas season.
Happy Thanksgiving, LifePoint Church!
On behalf of my wife Helen and I, we pray that you have a blessed day of abundance, love, food, and gratitude with loved ones today. May we all be reminded today, that through the difficulties and pains of this year, the Lord is good, and He is worthy to be praised.
The Apostle Paul reminds us, “In everything give thanks.” And the Psalmsist says: “It is good to give thanks to the Lord.” Psalm 92:1.
May the abundance of blessings, all the good food, the company of good people, and the fullness of the day, remind us of our loving and gracious Heavenly Father who given us all things in Christ Jesus, His Son.
Thankful to God for each of you today, we love you, family.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” Matthew 28:19 #AmazingGrace
Family, there's war going on for your heart and mind. Culture, politics, social media...it never ends. However, we know that our King, Jesus went before us on the cross and secured our victory in his resurrection. Through him we have peace that conquers than anything this world throws at us. Be reminded of that this weekend.
Checking in for a quick update. Drop by and say hello.
Sunday is almost here! We are looking forward to a wonderful day of worship, celebration, and fellowship. We are having Water Baptisms THIS Sunday! And after our service we are having our Family Feast for those who would like to hangout for a great meal and a time of fellowship after the service.
So here's 2 things we need you to do today:
1. Have you (yes you) filled out he form letting us know that you're interested in being baptized this Sunday? Please do so and we will get back to you ASAP with details.
2. Have you invited your friends and family letting them that you'll be getting baptized this Sunday? Water baptism is not only about obedience, but also about “going public” with your faith in Christ.
Through baptism, we are proclaiming that we have repented of sin and are now trusting His work on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins. We encourage you who believe to make this public confession faith by celebrating this wonderful day with friends, family, and the church this Sunday.
We're so happy for you and we know you have questions, but please fill out the form as soon as you can.Signing up is easy, just click this link and fill out our short online form:
