Holy Trinity Catholic School-Dallas

Educating Dallas-area children since 1914, Holy Trinity Catholic School provides the highest quality Catholic education and after-school care at the most reasonable cost for children from Pre-School through Eighth grade.

Holy Trinity Catholic School opened in the fall of 1914 with 32 students in a small wooden building on Holland Ave. The school was staffed by the Daughters of Charity. By 1925, enrollment had increased so much that a new school was built in our present location. Renovation to that building continued over the years to maintain and improve our facilities. Our most recent addition has been the multi-purpose Community Life Center which serves both the parish and school with a beautiful gymnasium and meeting rooms. In 1963, Holy Trinity was the first Catholic elementary school in Dallas County to receive accreditation from the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department. Academic excellence and achievements as well as extracurricular activities have always been a part of our school. After almost 75 years, the Daughters of Charity withdrew from our school faculty in 1987. Our school is now staffed by wonderfully qualified and caring lay teachers dedicated to the Catholic education of our children. Holy Trinity is the oldest continuously operating Catholic school in the Diocese of Dallas. As such, we have watched the city of Dallas grow up around us. Because of our central location, we serve families from all over the city of Dallas including the fast-growing Uptown area. We are proud that our rich tradition continues to inspire academic excellence in our students today. Catholic Diocese of Dallas

**Please join us at Noon **

Bishop Edward J. Burns and Auxiliary Bishop Greg Kelly are asking Christians throughout North Texas to join the 1.3 million Catholics in the Diocese of Dallas in praying the Our Father at 12 noon on Wednesday, March 25th. The Bishop has also asked the leaders of other denominations to join in this effort and several have pledged their congregants to the effort. They include the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas, the Northern Texas/Louisiana Area Lutheran Church, and the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

The invitation from Bishop Burns comes in answer to Pope Francis' call to the leaders of all Christian churches and Christians everywhere, to join together in praying the Our Father on March 25th to implore God to rid the world of the COVID- 19 pandemic. In addition, and as a call to prayer, all participating churches are asked to ring their bells at noon on Wednesday.

According to Bishop Burns, “It is important that in these days of trial and great fear at the threat of the coronavirus, that all Christians lift our voices together in prayer to ask God our Heavenly Father for an end to this sad, turbulent time; and to pray for all those who have lost their lives to the virus, those who mourn them, as well as those battling the disease and those suffering dire financial circumstances at this time. May our Lord Jesus Christ bring comfort and healing.”
