Operating as usual

Roses are red, violets are blue, we’re lucky to have sweet teachers like you!

This cute bulletin board is filled with sweet words from our students about their teachers! Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤️💗

Due to inclement weather SCS is closed today. Stay warm!

Once again, Scofield Christian School has received Accredited status from the Association of Christian Schools International, the highest seal of approval a private Christian school can receive!

To understand the magnitude of this recognition, here are some numbers:
◾ There are 397 private Christian schools in Texas
◾ 73 of them are accredited through ACSI
◾ Only 4 Christian schools in Dallas are accredited through ACSI
◾ Scofield is one of them! 💙❤️💙

Read this article by Dr. Tucker, our Head of School, about what it means to be accredited through ACSI.

💕 Love is in the air! 💕

Our character quality for February is LOVE! Love is always wanting the best to happen to others.

We want to love each other as Christ loved us, both with our words and our actions! ❤️

Dinosaurs invade SCS! 🦕

2nd grade recently wrapped up their study of dinosaurs and fossils with a research project. They presented their 3-D dinosaurs to their classes and had a fun hallway display for other students to enjoy!

We love our Scofield families! Thank you for partnering with us in educating your children. ❤️

The marvelous Ms. Martin makes PE a blast! 👟 Whether it’s rockin’ relay races, puffy parachute, or outdoor hockey, she has a real gift for making activities and exercises engaging and fun!

“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭

There’s nothing we love more than hearing our students learn God’s Word! Check out these Kindergarten students reciting their memory verse! 😍

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase." -Martin Luther King Jr.

Today we remember and honor the life and legacy of Dr. King! 🇺🇸

2021-2022 admissions are now open! 🎉 There are so many reasons to love SCS! Small class size, Biblical integration, rigorous academics, nurturing atmosphere, and so much more.

Current families: now is the time to enroll your student for next year!

Prospective families: we would love for you to be part of our Scofield family. We are doing private tours as well as having virtual events so you can learn more. Our next event is Tuesday, 1/19, at noon! Registration and more information available at! ❤️💙

As children grow, they learn and commit to memory countless facts.

At Scofield, the most important thing students memorize is God’s Word. Each week, every grade learns a different passage of Scripture. Listen to these 3rd graders reciting John 2:1-8!

Our prayer is that these verses take root in their hearts and stay with them for their whole lives! ♥️🙏🏼

Excited to read! 📚

Our Accelerated Readers celebrated a reading milestone with Tag Day! They cashed in the tags they earned from meeting or exceeding their reading goals for prizes.

Way to go AR students! 🎉

As a school, we focus on a different character trait and Bible verse every month. These traits help us learn more about who God is and teach us how to honor the Lord with our actions.

This month, our character trait is truthfulness and our verse is Proverbs 12:22! ✝️

We are ❄️SNOW❄️ excited to come back to school tomorrow!

Check out the pictures from our FUN morning before Christmas break! It was filled with performances and snowball fights, with hot chocolate to top it all off! Thank you teachers and PTF for such a wonderful day. We’re looking forward to all being together again tomorrow.

Frohe Weihnachten! Feliz Navidad! Buon Natale! God Jul! Happy Christmas! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇩🇪🇲🇽🇮🇹🇳🇴

Recently, 3rd grade traveled around the world to learn about the Christmas traditions and customs of England, Germany, Mexico, Italy, and Norway. They learned new words and phrases, discovered each country’s unique gift giver, sampled traditional food, and made a special craft to remember each country!

Sometimes the best gifts come in the smallest packages! 🎁

SCS partnered with Samaritan’s Purse and packaged and sent 59 boxes to Operation Christmas Child this year. Thank you Scofield families for your generous donations! ❤️

Did you know SCS has virtual learners? 💻

One of the ways Scofield is working to accommodate all students is by offering a virtual school option! Here are our students opening their day with the pledges! 🇺🇸✝️

Angels we have heard on high!

Check out our Kindergarten students making beautiful ceramic angel art with Mrs. Pittman! 🎨

God has gifted every SCS student with different interests and talents. These groups of girls are all dancing the Nutcracker this year with Dallas Ballet Company!

It’s amazing to see them use their gifts to the glory of God! 🩰

Great minds think alike! SCS friends are the best! 👯‍♀️

Did you know the muscles used to play with play dough are the same ones used to hold a pencil? ✏️

Recently, 1st grade learned all about fish and strengthened their hands 👋🏼 and minds 🧠 by creating miniature models with play dough to show what they learned. We love seeing their creativity!

Step back in time with our 4th graders through the Living History Museum!

Students researched important Texans to bring the past to life with presentations and costumes to share with their classmates. Some of our famous “visitors” this year included Lady Bird Johnson, Stephen F. Austin, Susanna Dickinson, Sam Houston, Audie Murphy, and Mollie Bailey!

Thank you to all of you, near and far, for loving and supporting our school. We might be biased, but we have the best community around!! ❤️👏🏼

Did you know literacy is so much more than just reading? 📚

Check out 2nd Grade practicing literacy skills through Daily 5 tasks: Read to Self, Work on Writing, Read to Someone, Listen to Reading, and Word Work.

Daily 5 are engaging centers for students to interact with one another while improving their individual literacy skills.

This year, 3K, 4K, and Transitional Kindergarten students participate in outdoor exploration centers!

They have the opportunity to develop a variety of skills through play. For example, they’re developing gross motor skills by hopping on stepping stones, sensory exploration with sand, and cooperation by playing with their peers.

Plus, fresh air does the mind and body good! 🌞 This view is from Dr. Tucker’s office and isn’t it the best office view ever? 😍

“Blessed be the name of the Lord from this time forth and forevermore! From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!” Psalm 113:2-3

We are so thankful for a school that praises the name of the Lord in all things! 🙌🏼🙏🏼

Thinking like a scientist! 💭💡

In 1st grade, students learned about the Scientific Method. They predicted how long it would take for an ice cube to melt in a baggie. Each came up with a hypothesis, executed a plan, and recorded the results!

When kids begin understanding difficult concepts, it’s like music to your ears! Mrs. Hatfield’s 3rd graders are mastering their multiplication facts to song here. What a great job 3rd grade students!

Now warm up those vocal cords and see if you can sing along! 🎤🎶🔢

Over the years, one of our favorite chapels is Veterans Day chapel. We traditionally invite parents and grandparents so we can honor those in the Scofield family who have served in the military.

Today and always, we are profoundly thankful for the bravery and sacrifices of our veterans so that we may live free. From all of us here at SCS, Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸

What a terrific trio! We are so grateful for our 3rd and 4th grade teachers: Mrs. Acevedo, Mrs. Hatfield, and Mrs. Mullins.

One of the things that makes Scofield unique is the amazing staff. Each teacher knows and loves the Lord and is committed to educating students with a Biblical worldview.

Thank you to these teachers for all you do for SCS and the impact you’ve made in the lives of so many students!

"Scofield Soldiers are fearless, Scofield Soldiers are true. God is our strength and our refuge; He is with us, whatever we do!” 🎶❤️💙

Check out our wonderful 2nd graders, led by Dr. Tucker and Mrs. Malone, opening our school day with the Scofield Soldiers song!

As Election Day draws near, we invite you to pray with us for our nation and our elected leaders, both current and future. We are thankful for the freedoms we enjoy in our country and the sacrifices made to keep us free! 🇺🇸 🙏🏼

In Mrs. Platt’s TK class they are learning about building and worked together to put shingles on a roof, discussing how it will protect us from all types of weather! ☀️⛈❄️

God wants us to build our foundation upon Him and He protects us at all times.

Did you know music aids in memorization? 🧠⭐️
It can also boost your mood and isn’t everything more fun when you’re singing? 🎵💙❤️🎵
Listen to these 2nd graders singing the books of the Old Testament!
