The Promise Church - Wednesday Night Message - 04/01/20

Wednesday Night Message from Pastor Sergio Ramos

[04/01/20]   Wednesday Night Message from Pastor Sergio Ramos

Long post alert! Please read all....blessings!

(Partial article taken from The Gospel Coalition)
Millions of schedules just slowed down. Schools are closed, people are working from home, churches are online, and many are hunkered down with Netflix, Food and hopefully lots of toilet paper.

For those of us quarantined with our families, now is the perfect time to begin (or intentionally continue) habits of worship together. As parents, we must take an active role in shaping the spiritual climate of our homes in the coming weeks.

Opportunity for New Habits

As families and individuals, we often have deep ruts in our lives. We have well-worn paths of how we use our time, nurture our relationships, and practice spiritual disciplines. But, recently, many of our patterns and habits have been upended. While uncomfortable, disruption creates a wonderful opportunity for us to establish new spiritual habits in our families.

The COVID-19 crisis has inevitably pushed us out of our ruts, whether we like it or not. We can fill our days watching stats and worrying, or we can strive to establish new patterns of worship, prayer, and reflection, as people living in the presence of God—even in our homes.

Let us know how we can pray for you!

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
—1 Peter 5:7

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
—Psalm 23:4

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
—John 14:27

- Salmos 23:4

La paz les dejo; mi paz les doy. Yo no se la doy a ustedes como la da el mundo. No se angustien ni se acobarden.
- Juan 14:27

Tasha Cobbs Leonard - No Longer Slaves (Live At Passion City Church)

Good morning church!
We pray that Hope rises each and every day in you and in those around you!

Psalm 34:1-7
1 I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
2 I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.
3 Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
let us exalt his name together.

4 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
He freed me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
6 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
he saved me from all my troubles.
7 For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
he surrounds and defends all who fear him.

Buenos dias amada iglesia!

Salmo 34:1-7
[c]Bendeciré al SEÑOR en todo tiempo;
su alabanza estará siempre en mi boca.
2 En el SEÑOR se gloriará mi alma;

[03/24/20]   A word from Pastor Sergio....

Good morning family, I pray you are doing well and staying healthy.

I had shared with you that this year the word for The Promise church would be “Connect”. We didn’t know what 2020 was going to look like, but God had giving us this word. Today, I understand that we as a church need to be connected in relationships and community to bring Hope to those that are around us. Let’s learn from one another how to survive and thrive in our current reality.

We are the church and we are here to help; should be our slogan. This is what I would like for you to do. Pray and take care:

a) You and Yours (This is a time to take care of yourself so you can help those you love)
b) Pray for your church leaders, staff and country leaders
c) Pray for those around us that are most vulnerable
d) Stay focused on the kingdom of God
e) Pay attention to finances – pay down…be good steward of what God has given you.

Let’s continue to pray for one another, lets continue to carry on the mission and let’s keep healthy. Love you guys,

[03/21/20]   Promise Church families, be encouraged by today's devotional!

The Easter Code by O.S. Hawkins

Along the journey to Jerusalem, Jesus came upon a colony of ten lepers isolated from everyone they knew and loved due to the contagious nature of their hideous disease. They shouted to Him for mercy as He passed by. He stopped, told them to go show themselves to the priests, and they were healed as they obeyed. They all were cleansed of their disease, but here the similarity ends.
Only “one of them…returned” (Luke 17:15) in thanksgiving. This leper, like the others, had a family to get back to, a business to tend to, but something was more pressing. We are not told his name. He belongs to that vast throng who live their beautiful lives and perform their selfless deeds in often anonymous ways. We may not know his name, but he is shouting to us today, “Get back to Jesus, Be grateful. Give thanks for all He has done for you.”
Jesus looked at him and said, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well” (Luke 17:19). Along your own journey to Jerusalem, remember that the God of this universe wants your thanks. And that is why the writer of Hebrews calls us to “continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God….giving thanks to His name” (13:15).
Today, when you return home from the office or from some appointment, let it remind you of the importance of returning daily to Jesus to simply say thanks for the wonderful things He has done and is doing in and through you.
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
Psalm 107:1
Lord, it is good to give thanks to You and to declare Your loving-kindness in the morning and Your faithfulness every night. Thank You for the realization that You are alive in me right now. In Jesus’ name, amen!

Salmo 107:1

Good morning Church, Pastor Sergio wants you to meditate and rest on this promise God has for us in Psalm 121!

Keep the faith family and share the hope we have in Jesus!

God's Promise and Hope for You/ La Promesa y Esperanza de Dios para Ti - Pastor Sergio Ramos

We have cancelled this morning's service, not out of fear but out of love for those most vulnerable in our community. Here is pastor's message for today.

Hello Promise Church,

Just in case you didn’t receive our email, here’s a quick message from our Pastor Sergio Ramos

Be the Church
Hola Iglesia Promesa,

Good morning church ⛪️,

The power of prayer does not flow from us; it is not special words we say or the special way we say them or even how often we say them.

The power of prayer comes from the One who hears our prayers and answers them. Prayer places us in contact with Almighty God. He can and will answer us, according to His perfect will and timing. 🙏🏽

How is your prayer life?

¿Cómo va tu vida de oración?

We aren’t done yet....

Let’s give a quick shout out to Kyrsie.

She’s officially a member! 🎉🎊🎈.

Praying she continues to grow alongside biblical community.
Aun no terminamos...
