My notes @ AFMBC Sister's Summit on 9/16/17 Ephesians 2:1-3 Emmett Till - a 14 yr. old's death A Spiritual funeral was shown at the Smithsonian Museum - God has redeemed us to remember her son's death. Remember you used to be dead, but God delivered us. We're not who we used to be. Separation from Christ leads to death. Don't forget!! & Don't forget the Smithsonian Museum. Don't forget where you came from! Teens say, "Stop judging me or you're judging me!" Before you became Sister or Deacon, etc., you were dead. You let the world tell you about living instead of what Christ taught. Remember you've been redeemed to redeem. We are now live!! Sometimes God takes us back to remembrance. You then thank God, "You're not what you used to be! We've been redeemed to live alive. To live with Christ and by Christ! She kicked it. You don't have to look holy to be holy! You living, but you're just not alive. How? Chase after him. We need some spiritual defiberators! Paul said, "It's a process." You were always blessed and highly favored. You just need to come alive! Sometimes living the life strips us from life! Are you alive spiritually and physically? What you thought was going to take you out. It didn't kill you! God redeemed us so we could do good work. You've been saved by grace. It requires action on both parts. God offers the gift, and it's up to us to accept the gift. Our belief is connected to our faith. I believed the car would start. My last car was disrespectful and didn't start. In order to drive the car, you must put pressure (on the pedal). It wasn't the motor. Did you apply pressure on the pedal? When was the last time you came to me and didn't need anything? We are not to boast about our works, but instead about our weakness! God wants you to talk about something you learned through his grace, not someone else's testimony. Maxine Waters Reclaiming my time! She asked a question they refused to answer. How many time has God said, "I'm reclaiming my time." How often do you put more time for watching reality shows rather than the good news? How often do you complain about a ministry rather than joining and getting involved? We need to reclaim our time. It's the least we can do for God, considering all God has done for us! Women of God need to reclaim their time. There is plenty of work to do. You've been redeemed so you can remember. Reclaim your time! Redeemed, Restored & Released! Redeemed to remember! Redeemed to Live alive! Redeemed to do good works! Chase after him! We can't live independently without him. We need to repent! God wants complete control of your life, not certain areas of your life! Shenikwa Bailey-Cager Concord Church 9/16/17
My notes @ the Sister's Summit @ AFMBC on 9/16/17! Your identity should not be tied to your job but to Christ. God's assignment. "Are you living your life on ambition or Jesus' assignment?" Phil 2:3 Are you driven by ambition? Do you want to be involved in everything? Jesus was driven by assignment. Pride - what are your fears. 1.) People on assignment embrace humility. They don't need credit! If there name wasn't called or recognized for their works, it's okay. They don't get it twisted, because they know the work was done to please God and not necessarily for them to be commended by men, and they also know God has their name listed in the lambs book of life! Paul said, "The grace of God has his assignment." Too many compliments can lead to distractions. When you are on assignment, you know God is working through you! Don't take credit for stuff you didn't do. Humility-a person who is not lead by titles. 2.) People on assignment have established identity. Ie. Reality shows - show the happy side of their lives and make it look like their lives are glamorous. Don't be fooled. It's not always what it appears to be. Think about it - no one takes a selfie during arguments. You're looking at the highlights of their happy moments and trying to make your life be 100% like this. It doesn't exist. We should be able to rejoice for others even when we're not at a good place in our life! That's an established identity!! Your location may change but not your assignment. Your identity is not based on your influence. Your assignment won't change, but your logistics may. Identity -knowing who you are and who you are not! Romans 1:1 Your identity is a part of how you introduce yourself. How you identify yourself. Do not confuse titles behind your name with your identity. 3.) People on assignment have spiritual sensitivity! In our Christian life, we waste time. The relationship break up - God will hurt you a little bit so it won't hurt you in the long run. Spiritual sensitivity allows you to say, "No" because God did not call you to do this. Example: The promotion is not part of God's calling, because it will cause you to travel, etc. & allow you to focus on the wrong things & turn you from your assignment. Dysfunctional codependent relationships. She and her husband was Counseling them but is not their saviour. When they have problems, they don't always need to contact their counselors, they need to fall into Jesus! Don't do things so people will always depend on you and you want them too. Lead the way and show the world, we do not value earthly things! 4.)People on assignment do not hold earthly things loosely! Hold earthly things loosely! Are you going to die over stuff? If you carry a lot of baggage, you're not going to be able to travel to the places where I need you to go! Your presentation was excellent, but this was not your assignment. We can get sucked into a presentation of our life that is not driven by God's assignment. The well presented life - should not at the cost of your assignment. Satan doesn't care about you attending the Sister's Summit, but he will be upset if we put into action what we have learned today, and he will be upset if we put our life on assignment!! It's not about your notes but your journey. Prioritize your assignment over everything else! Do not pursue your own ambitions, but God's assignment!! Activate this purpose. Share Jesus!! Share the gospel of Jesus Christ! Jada Edwards One Community Church-Plano 9/16/17

Updates from the Antioch Sisters Ministry

Join us for our monthly Sisters gathering Saturday, May 18th at 9 am. This month's topic is "Honoring Her".

We each have a Woman of God that was sent by God to make permanent footprints on our lives. The Holy Spirit provides earthly examples of His graciousness, His Divine teachings, and even, His precious agape love through women we encounter each day. On this day, we "Honor Her".

Bring your special "Her" and join us in worship, fellowship, and a time of reflection.
