Those who know Your name (who have experienced Your precious mercy) will put their confident trust in You, For You , O Lord, have not abandoned those who seek You. ~Ps. 9:10

[11/10/19]   Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others. ~Phil. 2:3, 4

[11/04/19]   If I were a perfect parent my children would have no need for God.

[10/30/19]   The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever leans on, trusts in, and puts their confidence in the Lord is safe. ~Prov. 29:25

My trust is in Him alone.

[10/28/19]   Then Samuel explained to the people the behavior of royalty, and wrote it in a book and laid it up before the Lord. 1 Samuel 10:25

[10/14/19]   Being a Christian is sorta like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff-- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

[10/12/19]   When our jar breaks, our lamps will shine. God does good things with broken pieces. ~Samuel Rodriguez

KML Ministries

This is for someone out there today.

Change your thoughts, change your life!

Hugs and love,

Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31.

[09/26/19]   What, or who, do you treasure? We invest our time, thought, finances, and heart in what we value. We protect, care for, and cherish what we love.

Time is precious and my most valued commodity. Time, uninterrupted by buzzing phones, distracted thoughts, or other things. Time with those I love is my treasure. To be fully present to savor every word, every expression, every detail so that when we part I can hold those moments forever in my heart.

Let's Raise Kids Who Make a Seat at the Table For Everyone Raising kids who practice the kindness of being inclusive to those with special needs is important. This school year, talk to your kids about inclusion.

Priscilla Shirer: Culture's rejection of biblical definitions will have 'staggering' effect on children Priscilla Shirer, head of Going Beyond Ministries, is warning parents that society’s growing rejection of biblical truths is going to have a “staggering” effect on future generations.

[09/19/19]   Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Eph 4:29

[09/19/19]   Mercy is a gift extended to one who doesn't deserve it. I am humbled and thankful for the mercy that has been extended to me by God and others. May each of us maintain a posture of mercy and forgiveness for others.

[09/16/19]   Best way to start your day...reading a text like this! Thankful for amazing friends.

"Good morning mighty woman of God! Run with perseverance the race set before you! God is doing great things in and through you and I believe the opposition you face is going to catapult you to the next level of what God has for your ministry! I'll be running beside you all the way. I count it a blessing and a privilege to be your friend and confidante. You bless my socks off! I love you Deborah King - child of the most high God!"

Who can you bless today? Who are you thankful for? Make it a great day!

[09/11/19]   He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty. (Whose power no foe can withstand.) I will say of The Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely and in Him I (confidently) trust. Ps. 1:1-2

[09/06/19]   Gain skillful and godly wisdom. Get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation). Wisdom will keep, defend, and protect you. ~Proverbs 4

[09/02/19]   What will I do with what I've been given?

[09/02/19]   “Lord, I have chosen you alone as my inheritance.
You are my prize, my pleasure, and my portion.
I leave my destiny and its timing in your hands.
Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places.
I’m overwhelmed by the privileges
that come with following you,
for you have given me the best!” Psalm 16:5-6 TPT

[08/28/19]   I don’t believe the things that happen in life are mere coincidence.
Our steps are ordered of the Lord. In Him, we confidently live and move and have our being.
Everyday, every encounter, has a purpose.

[08/27/19]   Love does.

Love is patient and kind. Love is never jealous, proud, boastful or rude. Is not irritable, and keeps no record of wrong doing. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

It takes true strength to love.

You are more powerful than you realize.

[08/09/19]   WEAR MY ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS with ease. I custom-made it for you, to cover you from head to toe. The price I paid for this covering was astronomical—My own blood. You could never purchase such a royal garment, no matter how hard you worked. Sometimes you forget that My righteousness is a gift, and you feel ill at ease in your regal robe. I weep when I see you squirming under the velvety fabric, as if it were made of scratchy sackcloth.

I want you to trust Me enough to realize your privileged position in My kingdom. Relax in the luxuriant folds of your magnificent robe. Keep your eyes on Me as you practice walking in this garment of salvation. When your behavior is unfitting for one in My kingdom, do not try to throw off your royal robe. Instead, throw off the unrighteous behavior. Then you will be able to feel at ease in this glorious garment, enjoying the gift I fashioned for you before the foundation of the world.

I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
—Isaiah 61:10

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
—Ephesians 4:22–24

~Jesus Calling

[08/07/19]   UNDERSTANDING WILL NEVER BRING YOU PEACE. That’s why I have instructed you to trust in Me, not in your understanding. Human beings have a voracious appetite for trying to figure things out in order to gain a sense of mastery over their lives. But the world presents you with an endless series of problems. As soon as you master one set, another pops up to challenge you. The relief you had anticipated is short-lived. Soon your mind is gearing up again: searching for understanding (mastery) instead of seeking Me (your Master).

The wisest of all men, Solomon, could never think his way through to Peace. His vast understanding resulted in feelings of futility, rather than in fulfillment. Finally, he lost his way and succumbed to the will of his wives by worshiping idols.

My Peace is not an elusive goal, hidden at the center of some complicated maze. Actually, you are always enveloped in Peace, which is inherent in My Presence. As you look to Me, you gain awareness of this precious Peace.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
—Proverbs 3:5–6

[08/02/19]   There are those who speak rashly, like the piercing of the sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. ~Prov 12:18

Mary Katherine Backstrom

Do you remember the name of who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002?

Who won the NCAA championship in 1997?

Who was Miss America the year you were born?

How about this: who is the best selling fiction author in the United States this week?

Any ideas who the world record holder is for the fastest mile?

Maybe you are a trivia buff and you knew all these names. (Or maybe you’re lying. It’s cool. We love you.)

But chances didn’t.

Which is kind of crazy if you think about it. Because these are the kinds of accolades and achievements we try to collect for ourselves in this world. We want to do things that are truly remarkable and worthy of applause. Things that will help us be remembered.

But do we remember them?

There are people who impact the world and leave legacies behind in science, or athletics, or whatever field they choose to participate in.

And eventually, almost certainly, their names and stories will fade from our memories.

I was a teenager when I first saw the film “Saving Private Ryan”. It was intense and I hated it, in that way you hate movies that leave you unsettled and changed as a person.

The scene I’ll never forget was an injured soldier. A grown man, laying on the battle field holding his stomach together with a bloody hand.

He was yelling out for his mommy.

Gut. Punch.

It was drama intended to sting and it worked, but I also knew how deep and instinctively true it was.

Because if we are lucky enough to have good mothers in this life, we know there is a carnal cry inside of us that pretty much always needs them.

If we are hurt, or sad, or confused, or heck—pissed at our husbands—our insides cry “mommy”.

Maybe she’s a phone call away. maybe she’s gone.

But her name, her legacy, her life forever lives on inside us. you know where I’m going with this, friends?

We all have eternity set inside our hearts. There’s a piece of all of us that believes we are the next big thing, and we could change the world if we are just given the chance.

All of us try. Some of us will succeed.

And that’s a beautiful thing.

But never mistake the powerful legacy, the beautiful work, the permanent mark you leave in the everyday, mundane work you do as a mother.

There is NOTHING as deep as the love you will leave in this world through the lives of your children. It might feel like a tedious job at times, but man is it profound.

You’re out there doing it, mamas.

The hard stuff. The world changing stuff. The things that might not get you Nobel prizes or NYT best sellers lists.

But you are sowing love so deep into the lives of your children that your name will forever echo in their hearts.

How’s that for a legacy?

This love we have as parents is heart-breakingly powerful. Don’t ever doubt that the boring, exhausting, messy, mundane work you doing in your household matters.

It more than matters.

It’s everything.

Nobody ever forgets the name “Mom”.

[06/20/19]   Sadly, 1/3 of women globally have suffered domestic violence. You never know what happens behind closed doors. Pray. Love. Be kind. Don't judge.

Civility begins at home.

[06/17/19]   Remember acts of kindness. When we do not properly honor those who have extended kindness to us we become self-righteous and ungrateful. God's gift of kindness can only flow through others. When we honor them, we honor Him.

Chonda Pierce

Sometimes Father’s Day is hard for those who have lost their father - or worse, had a really bad Father. My children had an excellent Father. I loved watching him be a Dad. He cherished his children. I know today they think of him and miss him. Many years ago, I was led through a healing prayer with Lana Bateman. Through prayer and counseling, I found great peace in forgiveness and letting go. And learned more and more about my first Father - my Heavenly Father. Today, your ABBA Father cherishes you. He loves you with perfection - with no conditions. He is your first and last Daddy. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Happy Fathers Day, Abba Daddy.
