St. James will again celebrate Holy Communion on the First Sunday After Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, June 7th. As directed by our Bishop, communion wafers will be blessed by our clergy and then placed in small plastic bags by people wearing gloves and masks. The plastic bags will sit untouched for 72 hours, a medically approved time for the virus to expire.

This Sunday, between 3:00-5:00 pm, please drive through the church parking lot (follow the traffic signs) to receive bagged communion wafers through your car window—no need to get out of your car. Gloved and masked clergy will hand out the bags. Don’t forget to drop off your hard boiled eggs and cookies for Austin Street Center.

Remember!
1. Drive by St. James this Sunday 3:00-5:00 pm
2. Stay in your car to receive blessed wafers
3. Drop off eggs and cookies
4. Celebrate communion in the safety of your home

The Anima Christi (as read during our Eucharist by Bishop Sumner):
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O Good Jesus, hear me.
Within your wounds hide me.
Permit me not to be separated from you.
From the evil one, defend me.
At the hour of my death, call me
and bid me come to you
That with all your saints I may praise you
For ever and ever. Amen.
