In response to recent news updates and recommendations regarding social distancing and gathering size restrictions, our weekly worship services will be suspended for the next four weeks. That includes our midweek gathering as well.
While services may be on hold for longer than four weeks, we will be reassessing the situation in four week intervals.
As a faith community, I ask that we do our best to check on one another and encourage each other however we can. I will be sharing with you via posts, video, and live stream during this time.
I ask that we also continue to financially support the ministry even when we aren’t gathering, as we will still incur some operating expenses.
Take this time to rest, recharge, and recenter.
I love and appreciate you all! 🙏🏽
STATEMENT RE: COVID-19
I know that there is growing concern surrounding COVID-19. We are closely monitoring related developments from credible sources to assist us in making the most responsible decisions we can for our congregation.
At this time, tomorrow’s worship service is scheduled to continue as planned. The hotel is taking precautionary measures to assist in having a space that is properly sanitized and will be operating with no interruptions in service. Since we are a small congregation, we are able to assemble with much less risk and will gather together while we still can.
We will also do everything we can to reduce exposure risks that come with our weekly gathering (shaking hands, hugging, etc).
Additionally, we are asking that if you have been recently ill, experiencing any of the symptoms associated with the virus, or have any health conditions that may make you more susceptible to this virus, that you join us for worship via our Facebook Live Feed, and not in person.
Ultimately, your overall health and well-being is your responsibility. Should you not feel comfortable with gathering tomorrow, please make the decision that you feel is best. Everyone is free to attend service or not attend, by their own volition.
With the uncertainty that has come with this outbreak, we will continue to closely monitor any new developments and make intelligent decisions as a result.
We are all being impacted in one way or another by this virus. Those with mental health challenges may have even greater difficulty during this time. Let’s remain sensitive and supportive, and even more determined to encourage and demonstrate the love of God.
Let’s pray for tomorrow’s service and for one another.
We want to see you!!!
Please join us, March 29,2020 @10:30am as we worship through song and dance in honor of Pastor Anthony Roberts Sixth Pastoral Anniversary.
It’s a Concert you don’t want to miss, featuring the HLCC Music Ministry and a few special guests. Let’s show Pastor Tony how much he is loved and appreciated, all while giving God the praise He is worthy of receiving. See you there!
