TJM Funeral - Obituaries - Janet Marie - Overzet

Our beloved sister, Jan Overzet, is with our Savior. She was always filled with tremendous joy in the Lord, and now her joy is full.

Here is the information for her memorial service. Janet Marie Overzet of Richardson, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 16, 2019 at the age of 58. She was born on April 20, 1961 to John H. Daane and Gail M. (Slager) Daane in Bayshore, New York. Jan was a graduate of Timothy Christian High School in Elmhurst, Illinois and atte.....

Our mini handbell choir has been dutifully practicing to play during the service tomorrow. Join us at 10:45am!

This past Wednesday we wrapped up our last Adult Bible study and Gospel Kids for 2019. Both will resume in mid-January. We hope you can join us!

We recently had a baby shower to celebrate the safe arrival of baby Eleanor! We’re so glad she’s here!

This past Sunday we had the pleasure of welcoming Harold and Presha Simmons back into our church body! Welcome back!

Yesterday, we joyfully received the Dyer family into membership at Bethel! Please be sure to give a hearty welcome to Zach, Ashlee and Triton when you see them!

In April, we had the joy of welcoming the Bucklin family into membership at Bethel! We are so grateful to have them! #latergram

Side note: Our church musicianship level increased many times over when we welcomed this family!

[07/20/19]   This is the second week in a row we have the pleasure of welcoming back a former pastor! Tomorrow, Pastor Brian Tsui and his family will be at Bethel. He will give a brief presentation before the 10:45 A.M. service starts. You don’t want to miss it! See you there!

[07/13/19]   Tomorrow we have the pleasure of welcoming back to the pulpit our former pastor, Rev. John Sittema! He will be preaching at both the 10:45am and 5:00pm services. We hope to see you there!

Last Sunday we celebrated the installation of Rev. Lee Bridgeman! Pastor Bridgeman is now the Assistant Pastor of Outreach at Bethel Church. A big welcome to Lee & Michelle and their kids Amelia and Ian! We’re so glad to have you!

On Palm Sunday we got to enjoy Bethel’s mini handbell choir play “Jesus Loves Me.”

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!" - John 12:13

This is a picture of one of our “littles” Sunday School classes. The students are walking around with the burden of sin on their backs (heavy backpacks) asking others in the church how they can remove this heavy burden. They eventually make their way to the foot of the cross-the only place that can handle such a burden. This is the Good News of the Gospel!

Please join us Good Friday at 7pm and Easter Sunday at 10:45am to hear the Good News about Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for our heavy burden of sin!

We recently had the pleasure of receiving Jim & Carla as members at Bethel! We are so glad to have them as part of our family!

[02/23/19]   3 hours until our annual Bethel fundraiser gets underway! We are raising money for some much needed kitchen upgrades!

Last week we had the privilege of witnessing the public profession of faith of Brian! We are so excited to welcome Brian to full membership! What a joyous event!

[10/20/18]   Join us in one hour for Harvest Fest! Even if you didn’t sign up, we’d still love for you to come! The location has been moved to church, due to soggy backyard conditions in the original venue. Come and join us for fun games, good bbq, and great fellowship! Bring the whole family!

Last Sunday, Jeff and Erin presented their sweet little guy, Michael, for baptism. What a blessing to observe this sacrament and remember the Lords faithfulness to each of us in our own baptism.

Pastor Heuss had the privilege of baptizing his daughter, Cyprus Alleluia, this morning. We praise the Lord for the addition of another covenantal child!

Congratulations to the 2018 Bethel Church Graduates! We are so proud of you Marcus, Hudson, Tychicus, Ben and Colin!

The AWANA Derby was so much fun! Thanks to all those who came out and raced or supported their child in racing! And thank you to Kristina, our wonderful AWANA Director!

[05/02/18]   It’s racecar derby night! Join us tonight at 6:30pm for our final AWANA until fall. Or join the adult bible study that meets at 6:45pm. There’s something for everyone!

As we prepare the area for our new fence around the playground/fellowship area and improvements in our landscaping, we had a church work day today! By God’s grace we had many volunteers and much was accomplished both inside and outside of the building. Here is a time lapse video of the removal of the overgrown red tip photinias!

[03/24/18]   T-minus one hour until our annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser! Join us at 5pm for our French-themed meal followed by the auction. Come bid on baked goods, trips, decorative items, fancy dinners and much more as we raise funds for a new fence around the playground area.

As the Lord blesses us, we would also like to expand the enclosure to include the adjacent row of parking spaces on the north border, making an area to bounce balls, draw with chalk, play hopscotch etc. We would also like to enclose the grassy area across the sidewalk which will eventually be a covered picnic area. There will be pictures available to see tonight at the auction.

We would also like to have a plan drawn up to improve our landscaping and use of the south side of our building!

Lots of exciting things are happening! Come be a part of it at tonight’s dinner and fundraiser! See you there!

(Current active duty and veterans are invited to wear your dress uniform to honor Lexi's service to our nation)
