Greetings from the Sound Booth

Dear Bethel family, our website was down for a few minutes this morning, but it's back up now. We're looking into what happened. Here's today's message: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RESAflggkXg

[03/18/20]   In light of public safety measures to minimize the spread of COVID-19, we have decided to cancel public worship services and all other ministries through March 29, at which time we will re-evaluate this decision. We hope to live-stream services soon! Stay tuned!

We recently had the joy of receiving Lauren into membership at Bethel! When it’s safe again, be sure to shake her hand or give her a hug to welcome her warmly!

Today’s the day! Our Capital Campaign auction starts at 5pm! Come join us for a delicious lasagna dinner followed by our lively auction. Bring the whole family!

Here’s a sneak peek at two of the cakes on the auction block (cake description in each photo’s caption):

[02/11/20]   Get excited!

Only 12 days until our annual Capital Campaign Dinner!

[01/25/20]   Reminder: Our soup & game night starts at 5pm! Join us for delicious soup & homemade bread followed by some fun games! All are welcome!

[12/25/19]   And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

Merry Christmas!

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!" - John 12:13

This is a picture of one of our “littles” Sunday School classes. The students are walking around with the burden of sin on their backs (heavy backpacks) asking others in the church how they can remove this heavy burden. They eventually make their way to the foot of the cross-the only place that can handle such a burden. This is the Good News of the Gospel!

Please join us Good Friday at 7pm and Easter Sunday at 10:45am to hear the Good News about Christ’s sacrifice on the cross for our heavy burden of sin!

We recently had the pleasure of receiving Jim & Carla as members at Bethel! We are so glad to have them as part of our family!

[02/23/19]   3 hours until our annual Bethel fundraiser gets underway! We are raising money for some much needed kitchen upgrades!

Come for a bowl of Bob’s famous chili and stay for the auction! See you at 5pm!

[12/24/18]   If this month hasn’t been stressful enough for you, tonight at 5pm we are going to turn the lights off and hand your kids candles that are on fire while singing.

Join us at 5:00 for our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service!

We had a great time caroling tonight!

[12/16/18]   Please join us at 5pm as we go Christmas caroling followed by some delicious Christmas treats!

A few of our littles anxiously awaiting their handbell debut!

Last week we had the privilege of witnessing the public profession of faith of Brian! We are so excited to welcome Brian to full membership! What a joyous event!

[10/20/18]   Join us in one hour for Harvest Fest! Even if you didn’t sign up, we’d still love for you to come! The location has been moved to church, due to soggy backyard conditions in the original venue. Come and join us for fun games, good bbq, and great fellowship! Bring the whole family!

Last Sunday, Jeff and Erin presented their sweet little guy, Michael, for baptism. What a blessing to observe this sacrament and remember the Lords faithfulness to each of us in our own baptism.

Pastor Heuss had the privilege of baptizing his daughter, Cyprus Alleluia, this morning. We praise the Lord for the addition of another covenantal child!

Congratulations to the 2018 Bethel Church Graduates! We are so proud of you Marcus, Hudson, Tychicus, Ben and Colin!

May the Lord bless you and keep you as you enter the next chapter of your life!

As we prepare the area for our new fence around the playground/fellowship area and improvements in our landscaping, we had a church work day today! By God’s grace we had many volunteers and much was accomplished both inside and outside of the building. Here is a time lapse video of the removal of the overgrown red tip photinias!

Thanks to Hudson Diesing for the video!

Join us tomorrow night for Good Friday service at 7pm. We will have an Easter brunch on Sunday at 9:30am followed by Easter worship at 10:45am.

Our spirited emcee for the evening—Dave Postema!

[03/24/18]   T-minus one hour until our annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser! Join us at 5pm for our French-themed meal followed by the auction. Come bid on baked goods, trips, decorative items, fancy dinners and much more as we raise funds for a new fence around the playground area.

As the Lord blesses us, we would also like to expand the enclosure to include the adjacent row of parking spaces on the north border, making an area to bounce balls, draw with chalk, play hopscotch etc. We would also like to enclose the grassy area across the sidewalk which will eventually be a covered picnic area. There will be pictures available to see tonight at the auction.

We would also like to have a plan drawn up to improve our landscaping and use of the south side of our building!

Lots of exciting things are happening! Come be a part of it at tonight’s dinner and fundraiser! See you there!
