“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

Read John 13:34-35.
It tells us to “love one another.” Think of three people you know who could really use a little love. Then come up with a few creative ways you can express love to them this Christmas season.
Jesus said, “I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too should love one another” (John 13:34). Source @BibleApp

#Reflections2020
By now, many of us have decked the halls, trimmed the tree, and wrapped a few presents. In the process of decorating your tree, you may have dropped an ornament. If you did, you discovered that there was nothing on the inside. No secret prize. No candy. No surprise inside. Just empty. Christmas ornaments look good on the outside, but are hollow on the inside. They are nice to look at but serve no real purpose.
So many Christians live ornamental lives. We are full of glitter, shine and sparkle on the outside. We look nice, dress well, smell good, and have bright smiles. However, we are fragile and hollow.
Don't be like the ornaments on Christmas trees. Have the ornaments of Proverbs 1:8-9. “My son, hear the instruction of your father, And do not forsake the law of your mother; for they will be a graceful ornament on your head, And chains about your neck” (NKJV).
Have a heart willing to embrace godly teaching. Be an imitator of God and you will cultivate the inner person. God made us on purpose for His purpose. He created us to fill us with His Spirit. We can be wise in the things of God. We can have the knowledge to succeed. We have the power of God working in us to do great things for God. We have the ideas and creativity that will help transform our schools, work places, communities, and this city for Jesus. We just need to access what God has given us. Don’t just hang around the church like an ornament on a tree. Be purposeful and intentional and God will make you an ornament of grace who is filled with His power!

“Shout joyfully to God, all the earth; Sing the glory of His name; Make His praise glorious. Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Because of the greatness of Your power Your enemies will pretend to obey You. All the earth will worship You, And will sing praises to You; They will sing praises to Your name.” Selah”

ATTN MACC FAMILY ‼️
Hello MACC family,
First, the MACC leadership would like to say “THANK YOU” for the way you have responded to our directions during this Covid-19 crisis. When government officials issued a stay at home order, God had already blessed us with the technology and a Technology Team to carry out worship in our homes, and you responded!! As the order was lifted, we gradually worked toward re-opening our building with a plan to keep us safe and you responded!! Recently, Covid-19 has taken a turn in the wrong direction and again we must respond.
Due to the daily increase in Covid-19 cases in Dallas County and the surrounding areas for the last 10-14 days, local government officials are recommending that some businesses to close down early. Additionally, local and national medical experts are recommending that individuals limit Thanksgiving gatherings to persons of the same household, not to exceed 10 people.
After careful consideration and prayer in response to what is happening around us, the MACC leadership, out of an abundance of love and concern, has decided to be proactive to keep our worshippers and visitors safe. We have decided to go back to stay at home worship with the building being open only to the essential group required to carry out the online worship production during this time.
As a reminder the essential group is Minister Ross, the Technology team, the Worship leader and those who assist him in singing, the Ushers needed to carry out our safety protocols and a few MACC leaders. Communion pick-up and offering drop-off will still proceed as usual on Saturday morning, by the great work carried out by our Deacons.
As stated before, we will continue to be vigilant in that effort and keep you abreast of all changes moving forward. Pray for us as we deliberate over these matters; that the Holy Spirit direct our steps, Jesus be lifted up, and God be glorified while we again respond!!
Thank you for your love and co-operation,
MACC Leadership

With church buildings located every few blocks and with nearly 1,200 different religious groups recognized by the IRS as tax exempt, one can easily live in a community and not know much about any particular religious movement called a church. This article however, is intended to introduce you a fellowship of believers known as congregations of the Churches of Christ (Romans 16:16)
The Church of Christ is a distinct fellowship of believers who are bound together by their common relationship to Jesus. Our central concern is to follow our Master in every detail of life and faith. We believe the heart of God is most vividly portrayed in the sacrifice of his son on the cross. The death of Jesus on the cross and his resurrection form the fundamental doctrines of our faith. Through his death we obtain forgiveness of our sins, and through his resurrection we receive the promise of eternal life.
