Greenland Hills is an open and affirming church nestled in an East Dallas neighborhood just east of Greenville Avenue and just south of Mockingbird Lane. We strive to help people become ROOTED in God’s love, GROWING in the Christian faith and REACHING out with compassion and justice. We are an eclectic bunch of all ages and orientations; we are singles, couples, seasoned theologians, returning religious refugees, and families of all kinds. We seek to share God’s love in concrete ways through outreach activities that extend across the city and the world. We value creativity, community, mission, music, and we welcome your spiritual questions. Whatever your age or stage, there is a place for you. Come share the journey with us.

Friday Morning Coffee Hour with Parents at 9:00 am (Starting tomorrow!)
On Friday mornings, I thought it would be great to all get together and connect for a bit. Let's grab a cup of coffee and then sit down and chat.
Feeling overwhelmed? Maybe you have been a stay at home parent and now having to home school is a different ball game. Or maybe you are a parent now working from home wondering how you will do your work and help your kiddos in school. Or maybe you just are unsure about all that is going on and all the uncertainty ahead.
This Friday at 9:00 am I will be hosting a coffee hour for all of us who need to feel some peace.

[03/13/20]   Thankful for these words from Rev. Carol Montgomery.
This Sunday I am honored to fill in for Rev. Kerry Smith. Though we will not gather physically, we will still worship together! Please join us on the Greenland Hills Facebook live page as we share a message of finding peace amid fear. Until then, I hope you'll find comfort in these words from poet Jan Richardson.

Blessing in the Chaos

To all that is chaotic
in you,
let there come silence.
Let there be
a calming
of the clamoring,
a stilling
of the voices that
have laid their claim
on you,
that have made their
home in you,
that go with you
even to the
holy places
but will not
let you rest,
will not let you
hear your life
with wholeness
or feel the grace
that fashioned you.
Let what distracts you
Let what divides you
Let there come an end
to what diminishes
and demeans,
and let depart
all that keeps you
in its cage.
