Glory Soccer Past; This weather makes me yearn for a evening walking the fields. Praying for you all and looking forward to the day we return. Take care of yourself!

Peter

Thank you Peter...Our Hands, His Heart friends we stand with you in love and prayers. Stay in touch....stay safe...reach out if you need us.

In this upside down world, the one constant is Jesus and His Love. "O How He Loves You and Me!"

It seems like these pictures were taken a lifetime ago, but not so. Hey we could not have practiced this week anyway! Stay safe, your in our prayers, reach out if you need to!

I love the uniforms and I love this time of year. Unfortunately this is a different kind of year. Glory Soccer is suspending activities until April 14th due to the current restrictions by the county. On the 14th we will see what kind of restrictions might be in place. The safety of our families we love and minister to is much more important than one season of soccer. We are not going anywhere, we will play again, hopefully soon. As always if you need us be sure and contact us, we will be back in touch soon. You are in our prayers.....(P.S. send me your pictures of past Glory Soccer seasons; I will post them and it will cheer me up.)

Peter

One of my favorite songs, fitting for difficult days. From our Peter, "Give Thanks!" OHHH folks I will be in contact soon. You do the same, if you need me DM me.

Give Thanks! So many reasons to praise Him, even in the storm!

I love my church on the inside and I love my church on the outside. Every spring I see old friends and make new ones. We get to visit, share, pray, say encouraging words, and share our time together. As I always love, the outside church was busy tonight; it was a good night.

Glory Soccer's firsts practice is tomorrow night at 6 pm. We will also continue to sign young people up for teams. Weather should be perfect to come hang out, enjoy some friends and watch some soccer. (sign up will be inside) If you have need to contact us 214 535 0557 is our number.

While we all know/appreciate the teacher's importance we also can not underestimate the power and asset an involved parent is to the education process. As we watched Lawson's Little One's this week it was a blessing to see the parents all at the table.....may they always be in the midst of the process! Have a great spring break and see you on the other side.…."Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him." Psalm 27:3

Tomorrow is one of my favorite days of the year. It is the day I get to see a bunch of my friends I have not seen for months. I can't wait to visit with everyone and see how life has gone. Kim and I love you and count it a privilege to be a part of your lives....Glory Soccer sign up 6:30 pm tomorrow.

Here are the details for the beginning of Glory Soccer's 12th season:
Sign Up: Monday March 2nd from 6:30 to 7:30 at Lawson Road Baptist Church
Ages: 5 years old to 7th grade (talk to me about a 4 year old)

****Important things to know: Just as last year there are no extra smalls jerseys. Just as last year the uniforms are handed out in order of those who sign up first. (only fair)

Let's go!

Thankful for those who week in and week out touch the lives of our Little One's. They are learning aspects of school that will help them in the near future as they enter the school system; but they are also learning they are loved by God and that will guide them a lifetime!

During this week as we celebrate love we remember the greatest love of all, God's love for us. We know He loves our Little One's and their family that holds them dear to their heart. It is our privilege to love our Little One's on a weekly bases.

I feel the warm air blowing and that means Glory Soccer is just around the corner! In just a month we will start signing up for another family friendly season of Glory Soccer. Be sure and look for more information and invite friends to be a part of this special time in the spring.

They say you only have one chance to make a good first impression. At Lawson's Little One's our volunteers get to make the 'first impression' of what education looks like. Being able to do that in a loving Christian environment is a tremendous blessing. Praying we are setting them on a path that leads to a life long love of learning!

On a cool day in January there is nothing better than a good day of class, some time looking at Bible stories, and pizza! Our Little Ones are learning many things but most of all we pray they are discovering that learning is fun, they are loved, and are very special. (what more do they need to learn?)

Just before Christmas we had a great time providing blankets, Christmas Cups, Candy and a whole bunch of smiles in the neighborhood. Thanks to all who helped with the blankets and to those who helped spread the smiles! Thanks to the guy in the suit, he kept the smiles coming and we worked him hard for at least four hours!

Our Little ones have been back at it for two weeks. As the year starts off we pray that they not only learn letters, numbers, and shapes; but that they learn they are a gift from God! Praying our gifts have a wonderful finish to the last half of the year.

The Little One's Christmas song

Happy Birthday Jesus from the Little Ones!

The first half of Lawson's Little Ones is in the books and it was a good one. Enjoyed hearing the song they sang and how cute each was with their red outfits on. God has been very good to us and the Little Ones in 2019, praying for a great winter and spring in 2020! God Bless and Merry Christmas to our little ones.

Ephesians 2:10, "For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Years from now our prayer is that the Little Ones will know they are the handiwork of God, that God loves them and God created them to do good works long before they took a breathe. We are blessed to help our Little Ones begin the journey of finding the good works God has created for them to do.

Lawson's Little Ones are back from Thanksgiving break today. The letter of the day was L. L stands for how we love our Little Ones. We are blessed to have the opportunity to love and impress upon their hearts a love not only for learning but for the living God.

Deuteronomy 6:4-6 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children."

Glory Sticks---Missions Banquet 2019

We love our Little One's and the families they represent! Here are the rest of their school pictures for 2019/2020!

Matthew 19:14, 'Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Lawson's Little One's is a cooperative teaching environment. Mom's and teachers working together. It is also a time to hear a good Bible lesson like the one today, the Lost Sheep. The goal? To not only prepare children for education but to also make sure they grow up knowing the importance of God in their life; it starts young!

Just another week of blessings at Lawson: Sunday night-Trunk or Treat, Monday- Sewing, Wednesday-Lawson's Little One's.....the season of 'thanks and Christ birth' will be filled with plenty of blessings, all are welcome to come and join in.

Trunk or Treat is just around the corner! It will be This Sunday October 27th from 6:30 to 7:30. There will be games, candy (lots of candy), prizes, and a lot of fun for the family. Come bring your friends to this free event at Lawson Road Baptist Church 515 E. Lawson Road.

Another good night of Glory Sticks. Its not just the practice, it's the fellowship. Thanks to dedicated young people and parents. Looking forward to the evening of the 17th of November as God uses their efforts.

A sneak peek of Lawson Little One's 2019 school pictures. I couldn't resist. (thanks Sadie and more to come)

The Little Ones learned about God's creation today. First from the Bible then as they went out to the garden and planted lettuce. So glad God has given us precious little ones to teach and love. "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." Genesis 1:1

Yesterday was a busy day for the Little Ones; it was picture day, played some hopscotch, and worked on the letter F. They also heard the story of Moses. We pray that they will learn like Moses that when you trust in God, He will walk with you through each difficult moment. Working in spectacular ways through their life. (Hebrews 11:6)

Look here and you see soccer players, dancers, baseball payers and Mid Day friends. There working on Sunday Nights in a group called Glory Sticks. They will be giving a presentation to the church on November 17th. Summer does not end ministry opportunity.

E is for excited about our Lawson's Little Ones. The program is not just teachers teaching but mothers and teachers working together as a community of people working together to uplift their children. In a Christ centered environment.

A big night of sewers; 24! The room was packed and the great thing is it was packed with people of all ages and skill level. Working on a rag quilt and spoke tonight about making it through the difficult days. Looks like a great night, thanks to Kay and Kristal for making it happen.

D is for dog and dinosaur….Our Little Ones had a dynamite type of day. One look in the room and you see everyone working together to make it the best possible experience for our Little One's.

Cat and Cupcake start with C; C was the letter of the day at Lawson's Little One's week three. C is also for caring and we appreciate our teachers caring for our Little One's and loving them with a Christ type of love.

Great night with a perfect blend of old friends and new ones at sewing. All kinds of different skill levels and ages; great mix. They pick it up again in two weeks, all are welcome. Spent a few minutes talking about the need to spend time on our knees before moving forward in life.

I see a lot of things in this picture but one thing I see for sure are young lives (and their families) we have been able to invest in for years. Mid-Day, Soccer, Karate, Baseball, Dance, and now Glory Sticks. On long ministry days it does a heart good. (mine)

Banana's and Bees start with B and that is where our Lawson's Little Ones were at today. They are off and running on their second week. B is also for Bible and the Little One's always get a word from there too!

Today was the first day of Lawson's Little One's 2019! We are appreciative of the parents allowing us to invest in their preschoolers life. We look forward to how God will grow our (His) little ones. Though space is limited there is some space available. (contact us soon though)

Happy to announce that Lawson's Little One's will start on September 4. This is a one day a week, Pre-School class, that last two hours. This is for children 3 and 4 years old and is held at Lawsons Road Baptist Church. It will be held on Wednesday from 10 to noon. Class size is limited; if you are interested contact us on Facebook or at 214 535 3684.
