Something to keep in mind this Sunday.
Early bird gets the worm right?! My song request: Head to the Heart By United Pursuit
Our 6 month old had a small fever and wouldn’t calm down. Jess started playing From the Dust and she started calming down. Amazing.
Looking forward to attending this Sunday, it will be mine and my husbands last Sunday at First Baptist, we will be moving to California on Wednesday.
Love listening to the day one band and Caleb Moore. I think it would be interesting to do an 80s Christian music sunday sometime.
Do we vote here for People’s Choice? I vote Bethel’s “Rooftops” and “It Is Well” 💕
My heart is full of joy, my father accepted Jesus Christ Wednesday night. He has been in the hospital since the 16th due to complications with his cancer. I had visited him that day and spoke about accepting God, and knowing where you go when you die, he tells me later of his decision that night. He was alone when he did it, and I can tell that it is true. Since that night he has been doing better, and transferred to the rehab floor at Presby THR on Friday. He says he has been feeling better every day since. Praise God, my prayers have been answered.

Hear a word from one of Day One's worship leaders, Tim Lawles.

Dueteronomy 32:1-2 "“Give ear, O heavens, and let me speak; And let the earth hear the words of my mouth. 2 “Let my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, As the droplets on the fresh grassAnd as the showers on the herb."

"Goodness of God"

Verse 1
I love You Lord
Oh Your mercy never fails me
All my days
I’ve been held in Your hands
From the moment that I wake up
Until I lay my head
I will sing of the goodness of God

Chorus
All my life You have been faithful
All my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
I will sing of the goodness of God

Verse 2
I love Your voice
You have led me through the fire
In darkest nights

You are close like no other
I’ve known You as a father

I’ve known You as a friend
I have lived in the goodness of God

Bridge
Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me

Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me

With my life laid down, I’m surrendered now, I give You everything

Your goodness is running after, it’s running after me

Tips for Conquering Anxiety & Having a Calm Household for Children During COIVD-19 | Julia Jeffress Sadler

Licensed Professional Counselor and First Dallas Students Girls Minister, Julia Jeffress Sadler, shares tips for conquering anxiety and how to have a calm household for children during COVID-19.

"Many of us know that the Bible says we aren't supposed to be anxious, but we still secretly struggle with anxiety. By taking key principles from Scripture and looking at how God made our minds and emotions, we can experience the true peace that surpasses understanding."

Hallelujah Here Below Lyrics:
We are an altar of broken stones
But You delight in the offering
You have the heavens to call Your home

But You abide in the song we sing
Ten thousand angels surround Your throne

To bring You praise that will never cease

But hallelujah from here below
Is still Your favourite melody
We sing
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
We sing
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

And should the fire that once burned bright

Become an ember my eyes can't see
I will remember Your sacrifice
I will abide in Your love for me
Oh, we sing
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
We sing
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
We sing
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
We sing
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah!
Jesus Christ our King enthroned
All the praise is Yours forevermore

All the praise is Yours…
