American Heart Association Family & Friends CPR class on Saturday 8/10 under the leadership of UTA’s Arlington Nursing Students’ Asssociation CPR Instructors Andrea Martin and Chelsea Ross. Thirteen learners trained in Hands-Only CPR for an adult, using a trainer AED, how to help a choking victim, and infant CPR. Reviewed the location and use of our AED! Thank you for coming out to learn and thanks to our instructors! #lifeiswhy ❤️
As our beloved family, the Bauers, undergo the next 18 months of a journey with Justin's diagnosis of hi-grade osteosarcoma, I encourage us as a church family to rally around them in support. Thank you for being the church for this wonderful family!
Beautiful service today included the Sacrament of Baptism for William Lawrence Abbott and Marie Lawrence Dalbey. Baptism response was hymn ‘Child of Blessing, Child of Promise’. We also had Holy Communion which we do the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome at the table. So heartfelt and moving. I love my Church and feel so blessed to be a part of it!
Memorial service for Kevin Villines will be held at Walnut Hill United Methodist Church at 4 pm next Saturday, May 12. A go fund me campaign has been set up to benefit the family during this time of tremendous loss.
Please join us as Christine Elizabeth Bouton celebrates 25 years in music ministry, performing a recital featuring some of her perennial favorites as well as a variety of new pieces by contemporary composers. Program to include music by Bach, Guilmant, Lefebure-Wely, Locklair, Bedard, Gawthrop and more. The recital will also highlight several guest musicians joining her in performance. Admission FREE; Refreshments to follow
Two great events coming up: Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 28 from 5 to 7 pm and the Walnut Hill Art Festival on Saturday, November 11 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Our minister's current series of sermons on Pathway to Discipleship is one of the most inspiring and helpful one I have ever heard, even though she had to be absent due to her own and her father's health through this time.Rev Alexandra Robinson is amazing!

I've been looking for a way to keep more in touch, and since my phone calendar goes every where I do, this is a perfect solution! All you have to do is click the Subscribe button on our church calendar website, select the activities you wish to follow, and add the link to your calendar!

Friends,

I love receiving invitations in the mail. On my refrigerator, magnets are holding old invitations to a surprise birthday, to a graduation and to a wedding! So this is my formal invitation to you:

I would like to invite you to Easter Worship from our sanctuary! Last week I spoke, via Zoom, to Rev. Stan Copeland and Rev. Scott Luginbill of Lovers Lane UMC and they graciously offered to help us worship as a family on Easter Sunday. Using LLUMC’s tech equipment and expertise, we will host Easter worship in our sanctuary! To worship with us, visit our website, www.whumc.com. Thanks to our friends at LLUMC and thanks be to God!

Members of our staff will conduct this special worship service with Easter music, prayer, children's message, and sermon. Please tune in, Easter Sunday on your favorite device. Connecting to worship will be simple. We will still have Sunday School, through Zoom, although at a new time of 9 am, and then we will be able to worship together afterwards. Don't forget, our link is: www.whumc.com!

You have heard it said, “Where there is a will there is a way.” Thanks to Lovers Lane and our amazing staff, there is a way to celebrate the most sacred and holy day of the year, a day that changed the world!

I invite you to join us for Sunday School at 9 am and then worship at 10:30 am on Easter Sunday, April 12. Until then, we will still have the Virtually Wesley group (1 pm and 7 pm on Tuesday) and Bible Study (only 7 pm this Thursday). Let's celebrate Holy Week together.

Feel free to invite family members to worship with you as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ together!

Easter Blessings,
Rev. Wally Williams
Senior Pastor
