What are your thoughts on women not being included in the Church? 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 KJV??? I think its its ridiculous!!!
Please share. From Brē Jacks: The Ecological Devastation Tour will visit Dallas County sites where environmentalists say atmospheric toxins and poverty have threatened the health and safety of residents. The tour will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 26 and will leave from Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5004 Bonnie View Road. Tour guides say sites affect- ed by poverty and/or toxins include Shingle Mountain and some areas of Highland Hills, Sand Branch and Joppa (also known as Joppee). The tour also will visit an area of West Dallas where a lead smelter contaminated the ground and air until it was forced to close in 1984. Advocacy groups supporting the tour include the Dallas- Fort Worth chapter of the Climate Reality Leadership Corp. and a revitalization of The Poor People’s Campaign. After the tour, a “teach-in” discussion will be held at 4 p.m. at Pan-African Connection, 4466 S. Marsalis Ave. To learn more, email oyinkagee09 @gmail.com or call 214-625- 2970.

If You’re Not Sure You’re ‘Allowed’ to Identify as Bisexual, Read This

“What I didn’t understand as I tried on these different labels was that it isn’t simply our behavior that dictates who we are. It’s also our internal experience and how we choose to describe it. The normative understanding of bisexuality tends to falsely define it as a strict set of feelings and actions: We’re told that bisexuality means having equal attraction to multiple genders and engaging with them romantically and sexually in similar amounts. Not only is this an incredibly reductive way to understand sexuality, but it also leaves many people grappling with whether they’re “allowed” to identify as bisexual when their experiences don’t align with this narrow definition.”

[02/05/20]   Well, it's that time again. Every once in awhile I need to step in and remind those commenting that words matter. No, how the other person feels may not be your responsibility; however that does not entitle you to disregard that potential by using words that are hurtful. This is, in fact, a form of bullying which will not be tolerated. Before you comment please ask yourself these questions. "Is this necessary?" "Is it potentially hurtful to the person I am responding to?" " Is there a way in which I can make my point in a respectful manner that takes into account how the others might react?"
Again, I am #notyourmom and I'm assuming if you're on a page dedicated to the values of Unitarian Universalism you also are willing to adhere to our first principle, "we recognize the inherent worth and dignity of every human being".

Bernie Sanders Pledges Legal Marijuana In All 50 States On Day One As President

“In 2015, during his last campaign for the White House, Sanders filed the Senate’s first-ever marijuana descheduling legislation and became the first major presidential candidate to back legalization....

Former South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg, on the other hand, included decriminalizing possession of all drugs in his racial justice and mental health plans. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), meanwhile, said this month that she supports legalizing and regulating currently illicit drugs.

Entrepreneurs Andrew Yang and Tom Steyer, also presidential contenders, back decriminalizing opioids as a harm reduction measure. Yang also says he would legalize therapeutic use of psilocybin mushrooms for military veterans.”

♥️I think midlife is when the Universe gently places her hands upon your shoulders, pulls you close, and whispers in your ear:
I’m not screwing around. It’s time. All of this pretending and performing – these coping mechanisms that you’ve developed to protect yourself from feeling inadequate and getting hurt – has to go.

Your armour is preventing you from growing into your gifts. I understand that you needed these protections when you were small. I understand that you believed your armor could help you secure all of the things you needed to feel worthy of love and belonging, but you’re still searching and you’re more lost than ever.

Time is growing short. There are unexplored adventures ahead of you. You can’t live the rest of your life worried about what other people think. You were born worthy of love and belonging. Courage and daring are coursing through you. You were made to live and love with your whole heart. It’s time to show up and be seen.'' Author Brené Brown @brenebrown
