Corona & KCC
We wanted to address the virus (that is hopefully not in the room). While we certainly do NOT want to live under a spirit of fear, we do want to be wise. So while we are specifically addressing the COVID-19 virus, these are just good rules of thumb for living in community.
1. Services are on until further notice at KCC. We are in a constant state of evaluation. If we cancel, we promise you will know. The announcement will come via email, Facebook, and text where necessary. Until then, see you Sunday!
2. If you or your children are sick or symptomatic (especially fever, sore throat, relentless cough and runny nose), please stay home. Staff will do the same. Our sermons are on the website at www.kesslercommunitychurch.com. In the interim, see you Sunday!
3. If you are a regular attender of KCC and IF YOU GET THE VIRUS, please contact Cindi or Jana immediately.
4. We have the church thoroughly cleaned by a professional service on a weekly basis. We have hand sanitizer throughout the buildings. Soap (and toilet paper!?!) are in plentiful supply. We will take care of cleaning the building and you all take care of your hands, etc! In the meantime, see you Sunday!!
5. We will take special precautions for communion Sunday until the threat has passed. The individual cups and bread will be pre-made, sealed, and airtight. We will evaluate brunch closer to that time. Meanwhile, see you Sunday!
6. Now, the coffee bar is a whole different creature. We must ask that everyone getting coffee do the following: use hand sanitizer before and after use. We will have wipes to clean the carafes, etc. PLEASE use lids on your cups to contain spills and the possible and dreaded liquid flow of germs that someone else will have to clean up. Please throw away your own cups, napkins, water bottles, etc. If you use the tall tables, please wipe it down after use. There is a very real possibility that we will temporarily shut down the coffee bar, But, until that time, freely caffeinate, we will see you Sunday!
7. Remember, there is truth about this virus somewhere in the middle. The media is in a frenzy while there are others who are in denial. All we need to know is that God has given us His wisdom and presence. Be wise, but know that Jesus is greater than even THIS.
John 16:33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
Unless He returns,
See you Sunday!
(and then, we will worship together in Heaven! Amen! Come Lord Jesus!)
“Now there is a final reason I think that Jesus says, "Love your enemies." It is this: that love has within it a redemptive power. And there is a power there that eventually transforms individuals. Just keep being friendly to that person. Just keep loving them, and they can’t stand it too long. Oh, they react in many ways in the beginning. They react with guilt feelings, and sometimes they’ll hate you a little more at that transition period, but just keep loving them. And by the power of your love they will break down under the load. That’s love, you see. It is redemptive, and this is why Jesus says love. There’s something about love that builds up and is creative. There is something about hate that tears down and is destructive. So love your enemies. (from "Loving Your Enemies")”
― Martin Luther King Jr
Today, we honor the life of Mrs. Lois Evans. Our ladies were blessed to sit under her teaching at the Desperate for Jesus conference. Her life inspired and influenced us as she was a tremendous example of a beautiful, humble, and godly woman. We thank God for her life well-lived and pray for her family and church as they grieve her loss.
Just before the sun came up this morning, the love of my life, Lois Irene Evans, transitioned from earth and watched her first sunrise from heaven.
I had the privilege of holding her hand as she was lulled into eternity. Our four children surrounded her as well. As she slipped away, we told her how much we love her, how proud we are of her, and how thankful we are for the life she has lived.
We are what we are because of her.
Thank you so much for praying for my wife and for my family. God answered our prayers this morning by relieving her of suffering. But the truth is, He has been answering our prayers all along. Lois lived beyond medical expectations, not once, but over and over again. God has been so kind to give us more time to make wonderful memories.
While we know the coming days will be challenging, right now we are grateful for the life and love of a woman who planted seeds that will bear fruit for generations to come.
Thank you for your continued prayers for our family as we grieve, and also for your patience as we finalize our plans to honor her life.
Join us as we seek to fulfill the mission of Christ in 2020!
Merry Christmas! The Messiah has come!
The only hope for all humanity!
It’s almost Christmas. Can you feel it? There’s a certain kind of feeling that Christmas brings. It feels like hope. Little baby Jesus came to bring us just that: HOPE.
Never lose hope. Never give up. You were created by a powerful God for a beautiful purpose.

Happy Thanksgiving! We are greatly loved and richly blessed!
Yesterday, over 40 of our people, including all of our teens (some pictured here), served an over the top, amazing, delicious, and abundant Thanksgiving dinner for the 8th consecutive year to our friends at Miramar Hotel.
God showed up big.
Our neighbors had a great time.
We had a great time, too!
#loveyourneighbor #weloveMiramar #lastingfriendships #grateful
It's true! How great is the love that the Father has lavished on us!!
He wrote it in the stars. He wrote it in the sand. He wrote it in the laughter. He wrote it in His hands.
Thank you for the sacrifices made and being made.
We are truly grateful.
Thank you, Father!
Need a reason to be #thankful today? You won't find one much better than this. #ChildOfGod
Don't forget to set your clocks back tonight! And then, after you have enjoyed the extra hour of sleep, join us at 10:30 am for Communion, Brunch, and an inspiring Testimony of Rescue & Redemption! Hope to see you there!
Oh sweet friend, what do we do when darkness seems to be winning?
The terminal diagnosis your family just received, the infidelity in your marriage, the unthinkable stories constantly covered in daily news…
While this side of eternity will never make sense, scripture allows us to know how this story ends: Jesus wins.
When the darkness of our world begins to overwhelm us, we can find hope in remembering that Jesus already holds the victory.
Revelation 21:4 promises, “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
God will wipe away our tears.
He will restore our broken hearts.
He will defeat the pain of death forever.
Declare this with us today: Jesus holds the victory over my devastating circumstances.
Friend, where in your life do you need to remember that Jesus holds the victory? We are praying for you!
In the aftermath of last night's storms, KCC is here to help. Please let us know of your needs and we will go with you from there.
The damage is extensive, but God is the Overcomer, Healer, and Redeemer. He promises to make all things new.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
He IS worthy!
Please join us at 10:30 am, you'll be glad you did!
Yes, the world mostly is loss, the church has shortcomings, and we individually have challenges.
But on Sunday mornings, we lift our eyes to our resplendent King—and we teach, preach, sing, and pray for His great glory. He is worthy!
Today--World Mental Health Day--and every day, Jesus is the answer. You are not alone.
Your KCC friends also want you to know that we are here for you...if you need to talk, need prayer, need help finding counseling, etc. You are not alone.
Nothing is too big, too hard, too shocking for God. He is always there for you. You are not alone.

So much this.
Jesus doesn't always approve of our choices, but He always loves us. Even when it's tough. #doeverythinginlove
Praying with and for our friends...
We need your prayers!
Yes. He. Is.
I love the saying "life is tough but darling so are you." But I was thinking about it awhile back. And I was thinking how there are so many times in life when I have felt like a punching bag. When my heart was broken or circumstances were dire. Like I was just one issue away from going under.
Can anyone relate?
And during those periods of deep grief and deep heartache and deep sorrow.... I felt anything but tough. I was holding on for dear life just to get thru the day. Tough wasn't even on my radar.
If that describes you today I want you to know you don't have to be tough. You don't have to pull yourself up by your bootstraps or get it together. You don't have to keep fighting cuz' friend let me tell you that I know from experience.... fighting is exhausting. And often we win the battle but lose the war.
Sometimes strength and toughness come from just resting and knowing that God is warring on your behalf. Remember that the battle is His.
So big hugs to you. You don't have to be tough today. Let Him do that for you. And give me a ♥️ below if this is for you??
We would be honored to pray for you! Please message us with any prayer requests you may have.
Start your Monday here:
The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of distress; he cares for those who take refuge in him.
Such a good word. Follow Jesus and his leading. He is always about unity and peace.
Romans 12:18~If possible, as far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
He is so worthy of our time, attention, and worship.

Lead me to the cross
Where Your love poured out
Bring me to my knees
Lord I lay me down
Rid me of myself
I belong to You
Lead me, lead me to the cross poured out...
Please join us Sunday at 10:30 am as we honor our risen King.
Today we remember Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice on the cross that Friday so long ago. As we do, we can receive the gift of freedom Jesus gave us through the cross.
In that one act, He offers forgiveness, redemption and the power of His presence inside of us. So, on the days you’re tempted to beat yourself up because you fall short, choose to fall into relationship instead. There is freedom as you stand firm in His incredible gift. There is freedom as you follow Him daily and grow in your relationship with Him.
There is freedom as you live in relationship with Him, and nothing else comes close.
Dear Jesus, if there is any teaching or belief that has me knotted up and entangled, lead me back to You. Remind me of the cross and all that You did so I might live free! Thank You for conquering the hold of sin on my behalf. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Best day ever!
Join us this Easter at 10:30 am!
Easter is no longer a ritual to me. It's a revelation. A time where Jesus splits my soul along the fault line of a scar deep within to bring dead things alive. Places where there’s been a wounding but not yet a full healing. Places where I’m not living fully alive in Christ.
But first, I must take time to ask Jesus to reveal what needs to be resurrected within my heart this year.
Is it a more passionate intentionality to replace complacency that can so easily creep in to my Scripture study and prayer time?
Is it a deeper sense of trust in God to replace fear that holds me back and sometimes holds me hostage?
Is it forgiving someone who’s hurt me deeply but has never recognized they did so?
This is why I must look to Jesus. Because to Jesus ... I was loved so much that He gave His life for me. It feels so personal. Even though I know God so loved the world that He gave His Son, it becomes very individual if we let it.
Let this miraculous Easter be personal, prayerful, powerful for our hearts.

Please pray for our friends in ministry and the faith...
Please pray for my wife, Lois. Lois has been a cancer-free patient under care for a while. However, her last routine scan revealed that her rare gallbladder cancer has returned. We need God to intervene as we continue our search for an effective treatment. We are going to trust God in the dark for a solution, and we are asking you to fervently pray to that end.
I’m sure this news about Lois is shocking. It is shocking to us too. In recent days, we have had quite a bit on us as a family as you know. My faith is being tested in a way I’ve never experienced… but I trust God. I choose to believe — our whole family is choosing to believe that, even now, He knows what He is doing.
Even during these uncertain times, we are strengthened by the joy of the Lord. We know that we will be strengthened also by the prayers of the saints in the days to come.
I’m sure you have questions. This news is fresh and we don’t have many answers to give. We will keep you updated as we can. But as you wait — while we wait — we are asking for your prayers.
Our mission is to see the life of one person restored and the community united through the power of the Gospel. #RestoreOneImpactMany
