My parents, Marion and Nancy Hofman, will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on August 28 this year. Dad was pastor at Craig in the 1960s. If anyone from Faith Lutheran would like to send them a congratulatory card or note, they would be mighty glad to hear from you. Their address is 21203 Apple Lane, Eckert, CO 81418. Thank you!
Hi my Faith family! I just finished reading this wonderful book on closed communion by Tyrel Bramwell and would love to share several copies with your congregation!! It gives a wonderful way to share the understanding of closed communion and I am reading it again. Check it out and see what you think. Miss you all!! https://www.amazon.com/dp/1717081851/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_xH72Bb4AFRDTD

Almighty God, whom to know is everlasting life, grant us to know Your Son, Jesus, to be the way, the truth, and the life that we may boldly confess Him to be the Christ and steadfastly walk in the way that leads to life eternal; through the same Jesus Christ, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

[02/14/18]   Ash Wednesday/Valentine's Day -- God's Love & Passion for us.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." John 15:13

". . . God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." 1 John 4:8-10

[04/08/17]   Sunday, 16 April, is Easter! We'll be gathering around our Lord's Word and Sacrament to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord. His resurrection is now your resurrection and if that isn't worth celebrating, nothing is!

Easter Sunrise Service: 7 A.M.
Pancake Breakfast: 8:30 A.M.
Easter Morning Service: 10 A.M.

[04/08/17]   Mark your calendars! This Friday is Good Friday. Divine Service is at 7 P.M.

[04/08/17]   Mark your calendars! This Thursday is Maundy Thursday. Divine Service is at 7 P.M.

[04/08/17]   Tomorrow is Palm Sunday--the beginning of Holy Week. Divine Service with the Lord's Supper begins at 9 A.M. Adult Bible study and children's Sunday school follows the service...oh and there are snacks in the Fellowship Hall you can bring with you to the Bible study.

[03/28/17]   Tomorrow is Wednesday and that means two very good things are about to happen. At 6 P.M. on Wednesday we have soup supper. At 7 P.M. we have the Lord's Supper.

[03/21/17]   Tonight, Tuesday, 21 March the Men's Bible Study meets at 6:30 P.M. in the Fellowship Hall.

[03/21/17]   Don't forget, this Sunday at 9 A.M. we are gathering around our Lord's Word and Sacrament for Divine Service. Children's Sunday school and adult Bible study follow the Service.

[03/21/17]   Tomorrow, Wednesday, 22 March, we have our soup supper at 6 P.M. and Lent mid-week Divine Service at 7 P.M. The soups have been marvelous. The Divine Service is, as always, absolutely marvelous! How else can you describe supper with Jesus?

[03/17/17]   On Saturday, 18 March, we will conduct a funeral service for our dear brother in Christ Justin David Ketchum. The service begins at 2:30 P.M. Friends may gather and visit with the family beginning around 1:30 P.M. A reception follows the service in the Fellowship Hall where refreshments will be available. This is also an opportunity to meet with Justin's family and friends and share memories. We are at 580 Green St. in Craig, Colorado.

[03/14/17]   This Sunday (19 Mar) is Saint Joseph's day. We'll have Divine Service at 9 A.M. followed by Bible Study and children's Sunday school starting around 10:30 A.M. And, big bonus here, the potluck begins after the Bible study!

[03/14/17]   Tomorrow is Wednesday. That means we have Lent mid-week Divine Service at 7 P.M. It also means we have soup supper at 6 P.M. Now there's a good night out for ya! Really good soup(s) shared with your brothers and sisters in Christ followed by Supper with your Lord!

[03/08/17]   Jesus promises to be with us when ever two or three are gathered together in His name. That happens every Sunday morning at Divine Service. Do you have someone more important to meet with than Jesus on Sunday morning? Jesus comes to you with forgiveness of your sins and the promise of eternal life. Are you meeting with someone with a better offer than that?

[03/08/17]   Did you know Christ came into the world to save sinners. That means if you aren't a sinner, you don't need Jesus. On the other hand, since we all sin and fall short of the glory of God, take comfort in knowing Jesus is here for YOU.

[03/08/17]   Don't forget--Voters' meet this Thursday at 7 P.M.

[03/07/17]   It's all about Jesus! No Jesus, no life now. No Jesus, no life eternally. And for all those who don't believe in Jesus: you are going to meet Him anyway...

[03/07/17]   Be sure not to miss this! Wednesday is soup supper at 6 P.M. followed by Divine Service at 7 P.M. It will not hurt you to take some time off from your daily labors to spend some time with friends over great soups then hear His Word and receive His Sacrament.

[03/03/17]   Hey! Don't forget Divine Service with Holy Communion is this Sunday at 9 A.M. Jesus promises to be there. How about you?

[03/02/17]   We are now in Lent. A season of prayerful reflection on why the Son of God, Jesus, had to come down from heaven for us and our salvation. We are sinners. We aren't sinners because we sin; we sin because we are sinners. We are conceived in sin and live our entire life without true fear, love, and trust in God because of the sin we inherit from Adam. Jesus came to pay the cost of our sin.

We are dust and to dust we shall return. Without Jesus we would remain not just dust, but much worse than dust for eternity. With Jesus we will have the everlasting joy of the resurrection!

[02/27/17]   This Wednesday, 1 March, is Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent. We'll have a soup supper at 6 P.M. followed by the Divne Service with impostion of ashes at 7 P.M.

[02/24/17]   Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners! If you aren't a sinner, you don't need Jesus. If you are a sinner, and since all sin and fall short of the glory of God, the Divine Service is for you. How could anyone possibly find something better to do than take some time off and hear God's sweet words of absolution?

[02/24/17]   This Sunday, 26 February, we are gathering around our Lord's Word and Sacrament at 9 A.M. We'll use Divine Service Setting One from the LSB. Our Lord Jesus comes to us in His Word and Sacrament delivering assurance our sins are forgiven and we will have eternal life with Him--all for because He was crucified and resurrected for us and our salvation. Now, it just can't get any better than that this side of eternity!

[02/21/17]   Ah, what a great day! Just waking up in the morning and knowing it is all about Jesus and what He has done and continues to do for us is a great start to any day. Just look in the mirror and look at that baptized child of God and tell Satan, "bring it on, you worthless loser. I've already won the victory--Jesus has already done it all for me. You can't harm me." Then go out there and have a blessed day!
