[04/10/19]   As we near Holy Week, let’s pray that as a parish we may practice the Christian values of faith, hope, love, prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance.

Join the other young adults of St. Peter’s as we pray for this intention, continue to pray the Divine Chaplet of Mercy, and fast from technology for an hour each day.

[04/08/19]   The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available several times this week, each starting at 7pm:
Monday, April 8 (today!): St. Martin de Porres
Wednesday, April 10: The Basilica of St. Peter
Thursday, April 11: Transfiguration

Lent is a season of reflection on and repentance for sin. Let’s take the opportunity this week to ask the Lord for forgiveness and further prepare ourselves for the celebration of Easter.

[04/03/19]   Here we are in the fourth week of Lent, beginning our fifth devotion! This week, the young adults are praying for our youth, that they will be grounded in the faith rather than be influenced by the lies and promises of the world. Let’s unite our prayers around this intention as we also continue to pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet daily.

[03/27/19]   The prayer intention that the Young Adults selected for this fourth week of Lent is for our own family members who have fallen away from the faith, that the Lord will bring about a greater conversion in their hearts. We also are continuing to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy daily and to fast one hour per day from technology. Join us in your Lenten journey by incorporating these practices into each day!

[03/26/19]   Don’t forget: Tapping Theology is tonight at 7pm at Vista Towers! We will be in the 900 building- the very first building as you drive up. Join us for food and fellowship as we continue our Lenten journey together!

[03/25/19]   Tapping Theology is THIS TUESDAY @ 7pm!
Topic: How to Live in the Present Moment.
Our lives consume us, and we are oftentimes too busy to notice God trying to do his will through us right here and now. Join us as Fr. Fryml leads our discussion of how we can learn to be receptive to God’s will in the moment!

Vista Towers Common Room
900 Vista Towers Drive

[03/20/19]   We are now into the third week of Lent. The prayer intention of the young adults group this week is for persecuted Christians in the US, China, and in the critically persecuted areas of the Middle East and Africa. Join us as we ask God to strengthen these people and to change the hearts of their oppressors.

[03/13/19]   We, Young Professionals, have been asked to help out a little bit during the upcoming Lenten Retreat MARCH 29-31 at St. Peter's.

Specifically, they will need help to set up, clean up, direct people to coffee and sugar, and potentially registration, usher, etc.

If you can help out at all during this retreat, please contact John Donato at [email protected] and let him know you can help out for any amount of time.

Please consider volunteering even for part of the weekend!

[03/13/19]   In this second week of Lent, the prayer intention of the young adults group is for an end to abortion. Let’s pray specifically for women who are imminently considering abortion and for the conversion of hearts of legislators who promote abortion.

| The Divine Mercy Message from the Marians of the Immaculate Conception

Read on to see how you can join other young adults in our parish on this Lenten journey with intentional fasts and prayers.

Below is our daily Lenten practice we decided upon at Tapping Theology last week, as well as each prayer intention for the 6 weeks of Lent. We hope you will participate in addition to whatever else you are doing for Lent. Many are making the commitment to these fasts and prayers, so join our efforts because there is strength in numbers!

Don't forget Ash Wednesday tomorrow is a ***day of fast***. Masses are at 8:30, noon, 5:30, and 7:30 (Spanish) at St. Peter's.

DAILY FAST: Fast from technology for one hour of your choosing that would be the most beneficial for you spiritually. This can mean no streaming/Netflix/Hulu, no texting/browsing, etc.

DAILY PRAYER: We decided to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy each day, time of your own choosing. The link below has instructions for praying the Chaplet. It takes less than 10 minutes. It's strongly encouraged to have a picture of the Divine Mercy (Jesus with the red and white rays coming from his heart) to look at during the recitation (real picture or download one/print/etc).

https://www.thedivinemercy.org/message/devotions/praythechaplet.php

Our prayer intentions for each week of Lent:

1) March 6-12: for guidance for the Church in America in resolving the sex abuse crisis, specifically: healing for the victims and for the Bishops' courageous response.

2) March 13-19: for an end to abortion, specifically: for women who are imminently considering abortion and for the conversion of hearts of legislators who promote abortion.

3) March 20-26: for Christians who are persecuted in the United States, China, and in critically persecuted areas of the Middle East and Africa.

4) March 27-April 2: for our own family members who have fallen away from the faith, that the Lord will bring about a greater conversion in their hearts this Lent.

5) April 3-9: for our youth, that they would be grounded in the faith, rather than being influenced by the lies and promises of the world.

6) April 10-17: that as a parish, we practice the Christian virtues of faith, hope, love, prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance.
