Remind your kids: Jesus’ death and resurrection is the center of the gospel. In Adam, we were spiritually dead in sin, but Jesus died to pay for our sins. Jesus is alive! God gives new life to everyone who trusts in Jesus.

New Covenant Thursday Devotion

Join Pastor Blair live tonight. Starting in 3 minutes

One of my favorite things we do to celebrate Easter is Flowering of the Cross! This year is different because of social distancing, but I still want to celebrate Jesus in this current new normal. Here are some crosses that our church members have decorated. I'm loving all the beautiful ways they have been inspired! If you would like, please share your pictures in the comments!

Preparing for Easter Sunday! If you want to get out of the house and join us, come out to Nursery Rd on Easter Sunday and drive up, with windows up and tune in to 87.9 as we bring the message of a Risen Savior through songs and scripture!! 10:15 am

Palm Sunday Worship Service

Here's the edited version from Sunday night's live.

This is "Palm Sunday Worship Service" by First Baptist Irmo on Vimeo, the home for high quality videos and the people who love them.

10:15 Easter Sunday

Are you tired of sitting at home? Do you need an outing?
Praise the Name of Jesus! This Easter we will gather for our DRIVE IN WORSHIP on Easter Sunday!
Let me share a few of the important details of how this will work for us. It is important that we follow these instructions so we can maintain social distancing, yet safely worship together!

Our worship will be locally broadcast over an FM transmitter operating on 87.9
Did you get that? 87.9

You will drive up and follow the parking instructions that will best accommodate everyone.

1) Small cars will be asked to park on the front row.
2) Small SUV/crossovers will park behind them
3) Mini vans and other equal size vehicles are next,
4) Large pickups will park on the back row

Tune your radio to 87.9 and you may leave your car running for temperature control.

THIS IS IMPORTANT...We want to be able to have communion during the service, but we want to be cautious about passing out the bread and the cup. Sooo...
Plan to bring your own juice and bread. Our tradition is that we use grape juice and bread. However, if you do not have either, bring what you have. If water can be turned into wine by Jesus, certainly He can be remembered and honored by what you bring in remembrance of Him.
Share these elements within your car. God will be pleased.

Please plan to make a bathroom stop at home prior to arriving at church. The buildings will be closed.

The cross in the front yard of the church will be “flowered” for you because we cannot all approach at the same time. Cole Hancock will have it covered for all of us.

Denise will lead us in song, Blair will share Scripture and Prayer and will lead our communion. I will preach the morning message. For those who cannot attend, the service will be recorded and put online afterwards.

Also, don’t forget to join us online on Wednesday, and again on Good Friday on the same three venues as in the previous weeks. I will be on Facebook on my page, the church page, and on the church website...choose one of these three!

Easter is always a BIG DEAL, but this year it will be especially BIG as it will be the first time we have the opportunity to gather for worship in three weeks! Oh, how I miss seeing all of you!

Your Pastor and Friend,

[04/05/20]   Don't forget to tune in LIVE at 5pm for our evening Palm Sunday service with Associate Pastor Blair and music director Denise. See you soon!
