and what it is the Lord requires of you:
to act justly,
to love faithfulness,

[05/08/20]   Join us online or in-person for worship, Sunday at 11:00 AM, as we continue our new sermon series, Recalculating! This week, we're recalculating away from doubt and toward faith in God's big plan from James 2.

You can join us in-person at 577 W. Killian Rd, Columbia, SC or online at www.killianbaptist.org/watch or www.facebook.com/killianbaptistchurch.

As a result of the COVID-19 virus, we've made great strides to ensure that you can still contribute to the work of the ministry taking place at Killian Baptist Church. If you'd like to help support the work of the ministry at Killian Baptist church, please use our online giving option (www.killianbaptist.org/give) or feel free to mail a check to 577 West Killian Rd, Columbia, SC 29203.

[05/07/20]   We often feel alone, abandoned, isolated. But God didn't leave us on our own—He's with us and He's given us relationships with others. As we enter back into life together, let's not forget to reach out to one another.

"Submit as free people, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but as God’s slaves." 1 Peter 2:16 (CSB)

"Remember the earlier days when, after you had been enlightened, you endured a hard struggle with sufferings" Hebrews 10:32 (CSB)

Phases of ReLaunching Our Sunday Morning Worship!

"As we’re entering into this post-pandemic time, one thing is abundantly clear, to return to the way things used to be is no longer an option; and it pains me to realize this. The events of the last few months have caused one of the single most significant shifts for the church in the past 500 years. Therefore, as we begin looking at physically gathering together for worship, it is going to look different for a multitude of reasons; for our personal health and for the personal health of those individuals who are visiting our church for the first time or the first time in a long time."

Check out the link below to see the three phases of how we're relaunching our in-person Sunday morning worship.

I AM: Getting to know God

I AM: GETTING TO KNOW GOD
DAVID NASSER

Note: The real-life stories in this series contain mature themes.*

How can I have a relationship with a God who is invisible?

How can God love me when I've done so much wrong? How do I know God is speaking to me? How can a God of love allow bad things to happen? Teens are struggling with very difficult questions and doubts.

In these four youth Bible study sessions, David Nasser will offer hope and encouragement to students from Scripture on their winding journey of faith.

ReLaunching In-Person Sunday Morning Worship

After weeks of prayer, reading, watching, and waiting we're ready to relaunch our in-person Sunday morning worship!

We're pleased to share with you that on Mother’s Day, May 10th, we’ll be relaunching our Sunday Morning in-person time of worship! Yes, you heard us right, in-person worship only, no small groups or children’s activities, on Sunday May the 10th at 11 AM!

While we will have significant precautionary measures in place to help us maintain adequate physical distancing during these initial meetings, we are eager to be able to once again gather together in-person for worship.

This coming Monday, May 4th, we’ll be releasing specific guidelines about how we’re planning on relaunching our Sunday morning services in three distinct phases to insure that health and safety are maintained as we once again gather together.

Throughout each of the three phases we’ll maintain our online worship option for those who need more time before gathering in person for worship.

Looking forward to sharing more information with you in the next few days and praying for you all!

We understand that these are difficult times, therefore it is our pleasure to help serve you in some small way. Praying for you all and look forward to seeing you on Saturday at 9 AM.

April 26th, 2020 - Sunday Morning Service

Join us online, Sunday at 10:00 AM, as we continue our new sermon series, Recalculating! This week, we're recalculating away from anxiety and toward understanding where God is leading in the midst of change.

You can join us online at www.killianbaptist.org/watch or www.facebook.com/killianbaptistchurch. Let others know you're attending online by going to our Facebook Event and inviting your friends (https://www.facebook.com/events/254268492378352/).

What happens when the interstate of life becomes blocked and all the freedoms, information, preferences, and personal benefits stop— they are no longer reachable and no longer at our fingertips? What happens when our lives stop working like they were before?

What happens is we begin recalculating, re-examining, and re-evaluating our lives. When what we were so secure in before changes, fails or stops; doubt, insecurity, fear, and anxiety rush on to the interstate of our lives and attempt to redirect us to a parking lot of neutrality. They move us into a position of doubting the future and idolizing the past. They direct us to a dirt lot of remembering what was and wishing we could go back.

We'd like to encourage you to join us, over the next few weeks, on the journey of seeking and finding security in an insecure world. Obtaining hope when all seems hopeless. Experiencing joy in the midst of struggle. I want to encourage you to recalculate your life’s journey when everything changes away from the temporal securities of this world and to the eternal security that you can find in a deep and meaningful relationship with God.

As a result of the COVID-19 virus, we've made great strides to ensure that you can still contribute to the work of the ministry taking place at Killian Baptist Church. “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful." John 14:27 (CSB)

"But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light." 1 Peter 2:9 (CSB)

My Facebook Life

You Are Enough

Look familiar? How often do we post things online to present a better version of ourselves? Paul asked the Galatians, “Am I now trying to win the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please men?” (Gal. 1:10). Even the first Christians cared about their reputations. But when the God of the universe created you and sent His Son to die for you, what else really matters?

Out of a desire to minister to families who are struggling in our NE Cola Community, Killian Baptist Church & Rockton Baptist Church are coming together to help minister to the needs of our neighbors. Over the next two weekends, on Sunday, April 26th, from 2-3 PM at the Rockton Winnsboro Campus, and Saturday, May 3rd, from 9-10 AM at the Killian Campus; we're going to be giving away breakfast cereal to those who stop by our parking lot. While wearing proper PPE gear, we'll simply have those who stop in open their trunks or back doors, and we'll drop in three jumbo-sized bags of cereal.

Please help us get the word out by sharing this post with your family, friends, and neighbors via email, Facebook, texting, or calling.

For those that want to help minister to those in the NE Cola area but you can't due to health concerns, you can support the work of the ministry financially by going to www.killianbaptist.org/give, and choosing the "Drive-Thru Breakfast" fund (100% of your gift will go to helping feed families in need) or by sharing this post on your timeline. Thank you in advance.

We look forward to seeing all those that can participate and we're grateful to help in this small way!
