Hey everyone! I wanted to let you know about an opportunity to participate in our "Mirror the March" event next Friday. There will be Mass at the Cathedral at 10 am, and a walk to the Capitol following (with an option to remain at the Cathedral in Eucharistic Adoration). You must RSVP for the Mass, and you can do so, as well as find more information and resources here: https://www.dio.org/youthministry/mfl
Its that time of year once again when we begin to think about our New Year’s Resolutions. Resolving to pray the rosary daily would be a wonderful resolution to consider!

A good way to help keep the resolution spark alive is to have a special rosary that looks and feels great in your hand. We offer rosaries made from a number of natural materials with a variety of bead sizes and weights…. Some feel very substantial and some are very light weight. We have a rosary to suit almost everyone.

Take a look at our many offerings, and make the resolution to pray the rosary each day in 2021 and for decades to come!

Happy Feast of St. Matthew, the Apostle!

Jesus calls each of us to follow Him. He does not wait until we have our prayer life in order, the perfect job, or have everything ‘figured out.’ He encounters\us where we are in the midst of our sin, chaos, or suffering we are enduring in order to draw us into His very self.

Like Matthew, let us “rise and follow Jesus” today and every day.

The games began when our chaplain, Fr. Braden, lit the holy torch. 🔥 from there, students competed in games like egg toss, water balloons, the three legged crutch race, spoon toss, and more.

Team “Vatican City” took the gold, but everyone seemed to find a spot on the podium in the end 😉🥇 #NewmanOlympics

Blessed Feast of St. Augustine, Doctor of the Church. Yesterday, we also celebrated the Feast of St. Monica, his mother!

These two Saints reveal to us the necessity of virtuous friendship and witnesses in the faith as we walk the path of discipleship. St. Monica’s intercession and witness of love for Christ played an indispensable role in St. Augustine’s conversion. Let us pray today for good friendships, mentors, and witnesses of the faith who will help lead us home to Heaven.

Saints Augustine & Monica, pray for us.
