Faith based ministry
Hope Fellowship in Carrollton, Texas! Sundays at 10 a.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. HOPE to see you there!
Mission: Our mission is to bring hope to the places God has called us to.
We are working on our new website/blog and info about where God is leading us! Here is a quick update on the 'why' and we look forward to keeping everyone who'd like to be updated about us :-), updated. Thanks always for your love and support. Ya'll are awesome. "After serving for almost 30 years as lead or associate pastors on church staffs, Mike and Celia O’Rand felt the Lord tell them to move into a different area of pastoring and service. As a chaplain of the Carrollton Police and Fire Department, Mike is seeking to serve the city they have lived and pastored in for 25 years. As Christians we are called to pray for and serve to make a difference in our cities. Only when we serve as Jesus did, as it says in Philippians 2, can we bring His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. As a chaplain for Carrollton's first responders, Mike does police ride alongs, death notifications (notifying families about the death of a loved one, in the city limits of Carrollton) counseling with first responders about marriages, the challenges of life and any other situations that arise. Mike has a mission to equip the churches of Carrollton to pray for the first responders and the city of Carrollton - that God's Kingdom will come to earth as it is in heaven. That is the mandate of the Lord’s Prayer, “His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven!” Proverbs 29:2 says, “when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.” We have a responsibility to pray for those in authority (1Timothy 2) in our cities and our nation. Pastor Mike wants to help the churches of Carrollton pray for and serve our city the way God calls us to! Our cities and out country are at a major crossroads and we need to serve and represent His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Celia has a heart for the homeless and for women who are in the adult entertainment industry. She has a passion for them to be healed and made whole, to give encouragement, hope and let them know there is a future full of freedom. We invite you to pray for Carrollton, pray for your city you live in and to generously give monetarily so we can fulfill what we are called to do.
Much Love and Blessings,
Mike and Celia O'Rand"

Good Morning Hopers!
I hope that you are doing well!
I want to encourage you to be at Hope Fellowship this Saturday at 5:30!
Last Saturday I shared from Psalm 139 how God has fearfully and wonderfully made us!
Fearfully means the wonder and awe of God that is in us!
Wonderfully means that we are made in a distinct and wonderful way!
It also says in Psalm 139:14 that His works are marvelous - marvelous means miracles! We've all been created to manifest the miracles of Christ's love.
We've all been called to manifest the miracle of Christ in our every day living.
I also shared last week that life can be so hard that we forget that we've been made in the image of Christ - distinct to Him. Gideon in Judges 6 had forgotten that he had been fearfully and wonderfully made by God. Life had been hard on Gideon - for 7 years his land and his people had been destroyed by the Midianites. He threshed wheat in the winepress - that isn't the place where you thresh wheat.
He was living bound in fear but not the wonder and awe God had made for Him to live in. But God, rich in mercy, had Christ show up and declare to Gideon that he was a mighty man of valor. That is how God had originally made Gideon in his mother's womb.
I will continue sharing this Saturday about how we need to continue to have fear broken off our lives and walk in the ways Christ has made us.
Blessings! See you Saturday at 5:30!
[09/08/18] Pastor Mike will be sharing tonight from Psalm 139:13-18! Join us at 5:30 - as Pastor puts it, 'this will be a real cool message'! Can't wait!

Good Morning Beautiful Hopers!
I hope you are having a great summer! Can you believe it’s getting near the end of summer and school will be beginning soon?! I’m sure all our teachers and kids are excited about that!! NOT!!
Today at 5:30 p.m. is our Fellowship Service and I want to encourage everyone to come whose schedule permits.
As I was bike riding this morning, I thought about how fellowship is mentioned in Acts 2:42 as one of the 4 pillars of the early church. Fellowship is a time to come and listen to someone’s story and an opportunity to be the prophetic people that Acts 2:17-18 says New Testament believers are for Him! The fruits of New Testament prophecy are encouragement, edification and comfort! These are a natural flow of the Holy Spirit in EVERY New Testament believer. We need and want this at Hope Fellowship and every day living for Papa!
David, the shepherd in the Old Testament, needed his friend Jonathan to encourage, edify and comfort him during some dark days David was experiencing so that he would later become King of Israel! Saul needed Ananias in Acts 9 to come comfort, encourage and edify Saul so that scales would fall off of Saul's eyes! Metaphorically speaking in our walk on earth, scales seek to develop over our hearts through disappointments, challenges, sin and other situations we face in life. When scales layer our heart we don’t see Papa correctly, situations correctly and people correctly. That’s the reason it’s important to be who Papa has created us to be prophetically so we can bring comfort, edification and encouragement to remove the scales from our lives and to remove scales from other people's lives - let's do what we can to remove the scales and not encase them on people.
l hope to see you today and let's seek to be 'scale removers' so that people see the goodness of Papa's love!
Blessings & Favor

We thought with the move and help needed for Sunday moving chairs and odds and ends, why not make this a 'service Sunday' for our own Hope Fellowship!
Wear comfy clothes, we'll come together for worship and communion, and then, big and small, we'll pitch in and get as much done as can!

[01/17/18] I (Celia) hope that you are all enjoying the prayer points Pastor Mike is having us pray each day on our fast. I've been reading through them in my Amp Bible and each day has been so rich. I loved this from Phil. 1:9 and my prayer is for myself, each one of you, those we are in relationship with and the ends of the earth. 1:9 - ...that your love may display itself in greater depth of acquaintance... I do pray that our love would be displayed greater and greater because of our greater intimacy with our Savior. The more we know Him, the depth of our love toward Him and others would grow deeper, wider, longer, higher. Blessings on your day.

Please let [email protected] know if you are coming Sunday (and Wednesday if you haven't been before) - we need a headcount for food and we are asking everyone to bring a side dish on Sunday! Thanks! Just a reminder of what fellowship means: Fellowship is the Greek word 'koinonia' and it literally means: participation, sharing, contribution.
[08/29/17] FYI - The Smithwick's are taking donations for the victims of Harvey, to a drop-off center on Thursday. If you would like to donate, please contact Leslie Stapp Smithwick for her address or contact [email protected] and I will send you her info. Thanks!
Reminder - tomorrow is our 'Fellowship Sunday' at Hope! 10 a.m.
We might not think this Sunday is 'important'. We might use this Sunday to sleep in. We might….we might….
But I'd like to share about fellowship and its importance - to us individually and to the others we are in community with at Hope.
Fellowship is the Greek word 'koinonia' and it literally means: participation, sharing, contribution.
We encourage you to come in the morning for some great food (Thanks Phillip Smithwick!) and for some great fellowship. We have an opportunity to participate in the lives of some pretty awesome Hopers! We have an opportunity to share with others and hear their story - what a beautiful picture that is, sharing our lives together, and we have an opportunity to contribute to someone else's life - maybe a story, maybe a word of encouragement, maybe scripture, maybe a laugh together or even a tear together.
We get to do that when we fellowship together.
See you in the morning at Hope.
[07/30/17] We want to give a shout-out to Brenda Estrello for doing an amazing job with our Hope kids! Thank you for all you do!
