Hey, Redeemer Family and Friends,
Here is a daily devotional from the ECC that we can all sign up for and do from home.
We could even message/call/text each other to talk about it.
From today's message, Lori likes the idea of God's day starting with the evening so that our days/lives are moving towards the Light.

Redeemer Family –
I am sure that by now everyone has been following the news of the COVID 19 virus and the threat it is to the health and well-being of so many. I wanted to write you with an update as it pertains to Redeemer Covenant Church.
Tonight, the church council met and voted to suspend all church activities for the next two weeks, including worship services on March 15th and March 22nd.
This was a difficult decision to make. However, we are confident that this pause in church activities is an important part of Redeemer’s role in limiting the spread of COVID 19. Sometimes the best way to love our neighbor is to postpone our worship for the sake of their health.
There are certain ministries, mostly pertaining to Celebrate Recovery, that will keep meeting in some form due to the nature of the ministry. These include CR Men’s and Women’s Step Studies as well as the CR Thursday main meetings (without the usual meal beforehand).
Our discussion tonight was not just about what to cancel but also about how we can serve our community during this challenging time. While nothing is set in stone yet, we are looking at the possibility of holding prayer meetings via teleconference or webinar. Church leaders are willing to run errands for those for whom health reasons prevent leaving their homes. Finally, there are financial resources available for those whose employment has been affected by COVID 19.
While this is a constantly fluctuating situation, we plan on resuming our activities starting with Sunday morning worship on March 29th.
The earliest Christians represented Christ by being salt and light shown during troubling times, especially when it concerned the plague. We now have the same opportunity they did. Let’s work to make sure that our congregation is taken care of. And in these scary times, let’s be the light that Christ has called us to be.
- Pastor Mark
