CCBC Women's Ministry Team

Women's Ministry Team at Cedar Creek Baptist Church based on Ephesians 1:3-8. 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will-- 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace 8 that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.

Mission: The mission of KoriEl, the Women's Ministry Team at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, is to nurture, encourage, and equip women. We seek to meet the emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of women throughout our church and community, to guide them in finding and fully using their spiritual gifts, to encourage women as they grow in their faith by forming bonds that will advance their spiritual development, and most importantly, to act as a godly example in the world.

[01/29/15]   We are excited to share some information about a special guest we will have at our { Do Something } Conference! Check this out...

Stephanie Freeman, a 16-year-old member of Grassy Pond Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC, is the founder of a ministry called Healing Hearts. Healing Hearts ministers to a group of kids with whom Stephanie shares a special affinity. As a former foster child herself, she recalls a hunger to have something to call her own. “I was looking for that one thing that was mine and no one could take away from me,” she said. Her ministry provides foster children in Cherokee County with a personalized pillowcase and a pillow. When foster children are moved, they are typically not allowed to take any possessions with them. A pillow is something they can keep and call their own. So, Stephanie set out to make sure as many children as possible could have an extra-special pillow. The pillowcases have the children’s names printed on them, as well as a portion of a Bible verse: “He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds” (Psalm 147:3).

If you would like to “Do Something” before you even leave the conference, please consider supporting Stephanie’s ministry by donating funds to sponsor pillows, pillowcases or personalizations. More information about how to donate will be provided at the conference.

**If you will not be at our conference, but are still interested in supporting this ministry, please contact us at [email protected] for more information!

Speaker Spotlight #1: Courtney Tipping

Here's Courtney's story:

Courtney moved to the Columbia are in 2005 along with her husband Allen to help plant Midtown Fellowship with a few others. The last nine years have held lots of adventure, lots of joy, lots of tears, and lots of trusting in the Lord and His plan. Courtney and her husband struggled with infertility for a few years, then pursued fertility, and through an IUI got pregnant with sextuplets. Courtney lost all six babies at 22 weeks gestation back in 2009. Even though an extremely tough time, the Lord showed her family His goodness through it all. In 2010, they were given awesome news that they would have a little girl, Zoe (4) and then later in 2012 of another little girl, Sadie (1). Last April, the Tipping family began a journey they never knew would be a part of their story. Zoe was diagnosed with Stage 4 Wilm’s Tumor Cancer. A life changing time for our whole family, but again through good, bad, and ugly the Lord was good and with them through it all as they took care of their daughter through major surgery, chemo, radiation, and other procedures. It is her hope now to share the Hope of Jesus through her story.

Make plans now to attend our { Do Something } Women's Conference to hear Courtney's story in person!
