Please pray for Evie. She's had a stroke.
Thank you, Fr. Greg (and Doug) for a successful Zoom service. We need to gather as well as we can.
Hi church family
I asked Santa for a red BMW!
Hand in Hand Christmas Recital to be held on Sunday, December at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal at Bergen Point. Tickets are $20 and all monies will go to the Hand In Hand scholarship fund.
It is always an honor to bless your beloved Greyhounds, Lisa Milan...and to get doggie kisses from them.
Somehow, trying to get this to my own personal page - Gregory Perez.
Don't forget :-)
All are welcome!
To my Trinity family, I cannot thank you all enough, for all the kind words, love and support during this very difficult time for me, Teddy and my family. The flowers were just beautiful, my Mother would have loved them as much as we all did. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart. 💕

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our former Rector Gerard Alexander Pisani, Jr on March 13, 2021. Gerard served as Rector of Trinity Parish in Bergen Point from September 1975- August 2009 as its Sixteenth and longest serving Rector.

Many who new Rev. Pisani can tell you he was a self proclaimed "Gadget King" and was the first Rector to bring Trinity Parish into the world of computers. With his help and guidance we began to open our doors to people of all faiths. We also began opening doors to the community with ministries such as: Bringing people from nearby citizen housing to the Parish for a meal and fellowship, and a second program called "Tel-a-friend" which had Parishioners answering phones to help those who were lonely, without someone to talk to, and the eventual incorporation of Windmill Alliance, Inc. Our first project created in response to the lack of services available to the developmentally disabled adult population — there was literally nowhere for them to go and nothing for them to do after leaving the educational system. Thus the Windmill Center — Where Independence Nourishes Dignity Mid Iinspired Lighthearted Labor! — was born. (Lord knows he LOVED his anagrams). A private, non-profit organization, the Windmill Alliance possesses a current 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service, and is registered as a charitable organization with the NJ Department of Community Affairs. We are non-sectarian — all people are welcomed without discrimination. No religion is promoted; all are respected.

His many years of service to our Church, our Vestry and to the Community are gratefully appreciated. His accomplishments throughout the years are immeasurable, and his presence throughout the our faith community will be sorely missed.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him. May the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace. Amen

Meet our new Priest-in-Charge, The Rev. Brandon Daniel King. Rev. Brandon will be starting with Trinity Parish on March 22, 2021, and his first official service with us will be on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2021 at 10:30 am. Please join us in welcoming Rev. Brandon, and now for a brief greeting from the cleric himself:

Greetings to the church at Trinity Parish in Bergen Point. My name is Fr. Brandon King and I am excited to be joining you shortly as your new priest-in-charge. I was raised in Union, NJ as a Roman Catholic by a hardworking mother and devoted grandmother. I have a brother, Gregory, who works as a bartender in Las Vegas and a partner, Gigi, who is a computer programer.

I attended Rutgers University where I double majored in Religious Studies and History and, more importantly, discovered the Episcopal Church. At Rutgers I was strongly involved in campus ministry and my co-ed fraternity, Gamma Sigma, and following graduation spent some time running the campus ministry. I still serve on the Alumni Council of my fraternity.

I attended the General Theological Seminary and graduated in 2019. I was ordained a deacon that summer and a priest in January of 2020, just in time for the world to fall apart. I have spent the past year as priest associate at Holy Trinity, South River where I have helped to start a Daily Office service led by the laity have had a good chance to observe and help at a number of different churches as they all found different ways to keep worshipping Jesus Christ in these strange and fell times.
I believe in the beauty of the liturgy, in radical hospitality, in daily prayer, and in being the love of Jesus. I’m looking forward to exploring all of that with all of you.

When I’m not doing the work of the church, or at least when I’m not on the clock, I like playing board games and role playing games (I’m sorry to tell you that you have hired a nerd), writing, playing the flute, cooking, and making crafts.

[02/17/21]   Good Afternoon Trinity Parish:

We have received several inquiries regarding services etc for ASH WEDNESDAY. Unfortunately at this time Trinity Parish in Bergen Point is still without active clergy. We were unable as a result to participate in Ashes to Go at the light rail stations. There is no noon day service, nor evening service with Ash Distribution.

Please share this information with anyone who inquires about Ash Wednesday services at our Church. Thank you for your understanding and compassion as we enter this solemn season of Lent.

02/08/2021

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, which this year falls on February 17th.

It must be Super Bowl Sunday!

This is "Touchdown Mary" in the Lady Chapel at the Anglican Cathedral in Ely, England. She is, after all, the mother of "Touchdown Jesus" at South Bend.

[01/10/21]   Almighty and everliving God,
ruler of all things in heaven and earth,
hear our prayers for this parish family.
Strengthen the faithful, arouse the careless,

through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen

[01/07/21]   Lord God Almighty, you have made all the peoples of the earth for your glory, to serve you in freedom and in peace: Give to the people of our country a zeal for justice and the strength of forbearance, that we may use our liberty in accordance with your gracious will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
