Bridge Community Church of Loudoun

Christ. Community. Life. "I have given you an example, go and do likewise." - Jesus Christ - John 13:15 Whether you're just visiting, looking for a new church to call home, or even just interested in seeing what we are all about, we would love to have you join us.

KIDS: We have a lively and engaging kids program setup where your kids will both learn and play, all in the context of biblical teaching. Groups are divided based on age, and the lessons are tuned specifically to reach children where they are. WHAT TO EXPECT: We have a team of friendly greeters that will meet you at the door and answer any questions you might have. They can also quickly point you to the kids check-in, the bathroom, or the fresh coffee that we have brewing. Our worship music is contemporary, though we do try to mix it up when we can, and try to keep things as dynamic and upbeat as possible. We have our kids worship along with us, though the nursery is manned for our youngest of guests, and dismiss them to children's church shortly thereafter. Mailing Address: 21660 Red Rum Drive, Suite 188, Ashburn, VA

JESUS CALLING
Pick up the book this Sunday, or download the “Jesus Calling” app, and join us in reading the devotional on a daily basis in 2021. The Living God has great plans ahead, so let’s seek to connect with His Spirit daily.

Happy New Year Bridge Family!

JOURNAL THIS WEEK
Don't forget to take some time to journal this week, and consider God’s faithfulness in your life. The exercise of sitting down to consider and write down some of the memories of God’s faithfulness in your life is a tremendous way to focus our thoughts, before moving forward. I hope it lifts your spirits and inspires you to trust God for even greater things in your future.

THE AUTHOR OF YOUR STORY
As you think back on 2020 and earlier years in your life, where has God shown up? What has He done to show Himself faithful? What can those moments mean when you consider the way forward? Jesus desires to be the author and perfecter of our faith, if we let Him. Join us this Sunday at 5pm, as we consider the way forward based on God’s perfect track record of faithfulness in our lives. Hope to see you then!

The Men’s Ministry at Bridge is focused on growing together in our spiritual journey through fellowship, study and service.

Join us every Wednesday morning at 7:00 am at the Bridge Community Church location to dive deeper into Scripture – come as you are, and bring your Bible, mask and morning beverage.

We strive to serve the needs in our community (minor repairs, landscaping, moving) that could use helping hands and hearts.

Any questions, service needs or specific prayer requests, please email Tom at [email protected].

This is our last week of 2020!
Remember to go to our BRIDGE THE GAP FACEBOOK GROUP to comment about this week's readings. As we read and pray over God's Word, questions, comments and insights may come up, so this group is always open to facilitate conversation. HAPPY NEW 2021!

LOOKING BACK
Looking back over 2020 may not be a pretty view depending on how your year went. Take some time this week to ponder and consider what God has been up to in your life this past year. What can you give thanks for? This past Sunday, we referred to a pile of stones known as an Ebenezer. The stones serve as a remembrance of God’s faithfulness. In addition, they also grow our faith to move forward when we recall who God is. Join us this Sunday at 5pm, as we take time to do this as a church. Hope to see you then!

Reminder:
We do not have a Christmas Eve service tonight. If you were unable to join us last Sunday, and would like to watch our Christmas Eve, Eve, Eve, Eve service, please click here: https://fb.watch/2AyEJWBszq/

The birth of the Messiah was foretold hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus. If God knows everything that is to come before it happens, what implication is there regarding our trust in Him? Join us this Sunday at 5pm, as we light up our second candle, and continue our Advent 2020 series. Hope to see you then!

Our Story

HISTORY: In 2007, New Life Church in Chantilly, Virginia launched a church service in Ashburn, Virginia. The new service was led by Pastor Mike Epps, who adopted the name J10, as the official Ashburn campus name. J10, was taken from John 10:10, focusing on Jesus’ words, “I came that you might have life, and have it to the full.” The church met in numerous schools and a hotel in Ashburn as Mike faithfully led J10 Church for approximately 7 years. In the summer of 2014, Mike resigned to pursue a career in business. The church hired Will Cravens as their new lead pastor in September of 2014. In spring of 2015, the church moved from Embassy Suites in Ashburn to their present location on Red Rum Drive.

In addition, after the entire church took a time to prayerfully consider the direction forward, leadership felt led to make some changes. With numerous churches meeting in Ashburn every Sunday morning, the church decided to begin holding services on afternoons at 5pm, to become a church for those who may be unable to attend on Sunday mornings.

Secondly, we took time to consider our CORE VALUES. We defined them as: 1. Love God (Consider what this looks like on a daily practical level) 2. Love Each Other (Community - Actually care for others at our church) 3. Love the Church (Local, National & World-wide that make up the Body of Christ) 4. Love Everyone Else (Love those who do not believe in God or Christianity)

Thirdly, we decided to change the name of the church to fit the Core Values and direction of the church. We landed on the name BRIDGE COMMUNITY CHURCH, since we shared the desire for Bridge to be a place where we build bridges of relationship with God and with others. As God extended the bridge between humanity and Himself by sending His Son Jesus to come to earth and die for our sins, with the ultimate bridge being the cross of Christ, we believe we should follow His model. We seek to extend the love and grace of God in practical ways that compel us to love and serve here in our own community and beyond.
