Souper Bowl Sunday - Tackling Hunger in Loudoun
This Sunday, February 2nd

Support your team and help those in need! This Sunday, bring your non-perishable food donations to worship and place them in the marked box of the Super Bowl team (Kansas City Chiefs or San Francisco 49ers) you hope will win. Maybe your favorite team isn’t going to be in the Super Bowl, but people in need in Loudoun County will be the winners with your help. You may also support whatever team you want by wearing your jersey to worship.

Food items in need at this time include breakfast items (cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars), hearty soups, canned meat, and canned fruit.

Please donate canned or boxed items rather than items in glass containers. We will not be accepting monetary donations this year.

If you are grieving the death of a family member or friend, you are invited to OSWLC's GriefShare program held twice on Mondays—9:30 am to 11:30 am and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. You will find encouragement, comfort, and help in grieving. This is an opportunity to be around other people who understand what you are feeling. Questions? Call 703-470-8821 or visit griefshare.org.

Angel Tree 2019 - Thank You!

Social Ministry would like to thank all who participated in the 2019 Angel Tree program. Your generosity once again enabled OSW, through Prison Fellowship and the people who help with delivery, to provide gifts, the gospel and the hope of Jesus to over 180 children in numerous cities. Richmond – (17 children), Franklin (36 children), Emporia (69 children), Southampton County (42 children), and Ashburn (19 children).

A special thanks to the OSW men’s Monday morning Bible class for their generous donation and also those OSW members who gave additional contributions when we found we had angels left on the tree.

The parents and children we meet are always grateful and ask that we thank all involved. Please stop by the Social Ministry board and see the photos that show your involvement is a blessing to all! Thank you again!!!

God’s Peace and Blessings to you.
