BCC is a church that seeks to find God's insights into the challenges that we face today. You will find a friendly group of people who believe that Christianity holds the insights to these challenges.
BCC has a vision of "Easy - Easy" in regards to Community outreach. It is easy to ask/invite and its easy to go. Our Annual Events consist of the following: Vacation Bible School Easter Egg Hunt Candlelight Christmas Eve Service
Mission: We are a Christ-centered church built on the Biblical principles of Salvation, Freedom, and the Ministry of the Holy Spirit, where home groups are an integral part of our Christian community. Our vision is to participate in Christ's redeeming work by bringing people to salvation in Jesus Christ and then leading them into a growing relationship with Him. (Acts 26:16-19)
Good morning church. Psalm 91:1–16 (ESV) He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
—Names of God identify who protects us and who we trust:
- Most High – Elyon – No one higher – Ruler over and above all the universe. God our shelter is above all our circumstances.
- Almighty – El Shaddai – All sufficient – Pours Himself out on to HIS people. We live in God’s poured out blessing!
-LORD – Self Existing One – Jehovah or I am who I am! Our eternal God is our eternal protection!
-God – Elohim – Word is singular plural like football team, one team but 11 players. Reflects the Trinity, one God three persons. Deut.6:4 clarifies, “The Jehovah our Elohim, the Jehovah is one!” We trust the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit!
[05/31/20] Correction. We will be going live at 10:05.
[05/31/20] Good morning!!! We will be starting up the video at 9:55 AM to give everyone a chance to join. The worship team will start at 10:00.
Pray with authority and power! Daniel 9:19 (ESV)
O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God, because your people are called by your name.
Daniel gives an example that we should be the best citizens, the best employees, and the best neighbors possible, yet standing fast having “only one fault” that we worship the One True God. As we saw last week in the Fiery Furnace and this week in the Lion’s Den, God moves on behalf of HIS people. We are special in God’s sight. However, it is often through the Fiery Furnace and the Lion’s Den that God will use us to bring HIM glory.
[05/24/20] Good morning church. In the Bible Daniel gives an example that we should be the best citizens, the best employees, and the best neighbors possible, yet standing fast having “only one fault” that we worship the One True God. Daniel 6:5 (ESV). Then these men said, “We shall not find any ground for complaint against this Daniel unless we find it in connection with the law of his God.”
Christians have a higher authority than government. This is why those demanding worship at the Altar of Government hate Christianity. Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury, and the expression of his face was changed when faced with believers who would not worship at his altar. But an absolute truth is that in all circumstances: Jesus is always in the fire with us!
Good morning church. Government with unrestrained authority will require complete submission by its people. Group think is required, and any dissension is not tolerated. The early church faced the same dilemma when ordered to stop talking about Jesus.
Acts 5:29 (ESV)
But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.”
John 3:16 is a beautiful verse proclaiming God’s love, our forgiveness of sin through Jesus, and our eternal home in heaven. But also, this verse proclaims receiving the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Receiving the Holy Spirit was not a side issue with Jesus. Receiving the Holy Spirit is central to being able to live out our Christian life with authority and power.
Good morning church. The Holy Spirit is important. Galatians says it is the Spirit who will actually lead us to do the things God desires:
Galatians 5:18 (ESV “If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” Therefore, we must keep in step with the Holy Spirit’s lead.
Galatians 5:25 (ESV) “If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.” The New English Bible translates this verse: “If the Spirit is the source of our life, let the Spirit also direct our course.”
In the early 1950s, an evangelical movement called for Congress and the President to proclaim a National Day of Prayer. The movement grew and a young leader, Evangelist Billy Graham, led services for approximately 20,000 on the steps of the Capitol on February 3, 1952. Later that year, Congress proclaimed a joint resolution for a National Day of Prayer. President Harry S. Truman proclaimed a National Day of Prayer to be observed on July 4, 1952. Each year since that date, Americans have observed the day in their own way. The observance moved to the first Thursday in May by President Ronald Reagan and has been proclaimed each year since.
The watchmen and women are responsible for the Word they
have heard from the very Mouth of God. The Word is not
their own thinking or insights. The Word is based on God’s
breathed out Scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit. The
primary Word from God’s mouth is our Salvation through
Jesus Christ. Our Salvation includes receiving the Holy Spirit
and being transformed into Jesus’ image.
[05/03/20] As watchmen and women, we stand in the gap and share God’s truth because we know that HE will do exactly what HE says HE will do. Ezekiel 33:33 (ESV) When this comes—and come it will!—then they will know that a prophet has been among them.
[04/28/20] No need to fear because God’s powerful Hand is covering each one of you. Jesus is our King, Lord, and Protector. As the world quakes in instability, we rest in the strength of Jesus HIMSELF. In all things Jesus is essential, the church is essential meaning you are essential. God is at work building HIS church as an operational base to the world with you as living stones necessary for the construction. “You come to Jesus, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus.” (1Pet.4:2-5) Be fearless, be strong, you are the dwelling place for God. “In Jesus you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” (Eph.2:22) Be encouraged, we at Broadlands Community Church as living stones are joined to THE LIVING STONE and we are becoming stronger each day as Jesus continues to build HIS church as a dwelling for HIS SPIRIT! Before God, you are indestructible! What an exciting time to be alive!
God’s presence, HIS Temple, HIS people, are established through Jesus and HIS followers. The building material is Jesus, the living stone, and HIS followers, living stones, being built into a spiritual house. God’s house is made up of living stones which are God’s chosen people who make up the HOLY nation.
Good morning church. The only safe place and security is Jesus. Matthew 11:28–30 (ESV)
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Join us at 10 AM on Facebook Live!
As believers we have the full Biblical prophetic revelation that the Holy Spirit dwells within each believer that transforms our heart and empowers us. Plus, as believers we have the Bible in our hands which is the full prophetic revelation of God concerning all things. Therefore, all believers can speak God’s Word which carries God’s power and authority. Thus, when we speak, “Whether people hear or refuse to hear, they will know that a prophet has been among them.”
We have things to do. John 14:12 (ESV)
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.

The Resurrection is the cornerstone of Christianity. Anyone
who does not believe in the Resurrection of Christ is not a
Christian. Our belief in the forgiveness of our sins, the belief
in an afterlife, our belief in eternal life is tied totally to the
Resurrection of Christ.
[04/12/20] We will be starting up the LIVE broadcast at 9:55. Audio will turn on at 10. See you there!
[04/12/20] He is RISEN!!! Jesus is alive! Death is defeated! We live for eternity with Jesus! 1 Corinthians 6:14 (ESV) God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by his power. Jesus said: John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. ... I go to prepare a place for you.
[04/12/20] Join us tomorrow at 10:00 AM for Easter service! He is Risen!!!
After the President’s news conference was over, one of the reporters made the observation that for the first time in our nation’s history we won’t be celebrating Easter. Well let us tell you one thing, he’s simply wrong. We might not celebrate what Easter has become in that there may be no new clothes bought for that Sunday. We might not hide and hunt eggs in mass quantities. We may not travel home to attend church with our family. We might not see some folks at our worship services that we haven’t seen since Christmas, but we’re going to Celebrate Easter. As a matter of fact, every Sunday is Easter Sunday. Every time we assemble for worship we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pilate couldn’t kill Him and the grave couldn’t hold Him. You think the Corona virus is going to stop Easter. More people this year will hear the gospel than any other Easter before.
Easter is not just about special programs, although we will still have them at our church. It’s not about the trumpet call or the mass crowds. It’s the fact that we serve a living Savior who is still transforming lives today. Easter is not only about His resurrection, but our ability to rise with Him. Easter is about the hope of tomorrow and the gift of everlasting life. Yes indeed, we will celebrate. We’ll celebrate what God did for all of us at Calvary. How? By remembering Him. By loving Him. By worshipping Him. By praising Him. Easter for us is everyday. Let the celebration begin. Sing with us:
I serve a risen Saviour, He's in the world today
I know that He is living, whatever men may say
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer
And just the time I need Him He's always near
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Christ Jesus lives today
He walks with me and talks with me
Along life's narrow way
He lives (He lives), He lives (He lives), Salvation to impart
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart
Do you feel alone, afraid, confused? God who formed this
earth and established it for HIS purposes knows exactly what
is happening and HE promises to take care of HIS people who
turn to HIM. When God’s people call to HIM, HE will tell them
great and hidden things that they never knew. Great things
meaning things that are beyond our human capacity; hidden
things meaning things that are only known by God HIMSELF.
Note - Starting next week, the notes should be on the website prior to the sermon
