So, we're all hunkered down. We haven't been on campus. We miss the Eucharist and close contact with one another.

Rest assured, we are still the church, still being the church. Currently, we are collaborating with 3 other Episcopal churches to provide worship, formation, fellowship, and opportunities to provide the most vulnerable in our neighborhood. Below you will find all the links to all the good work we are doing together. And there is more to come for children, youth, and outreach. We hope you will be the church with us.

We will be gathering to share Morning Prayer on the video-conferencing platform, Zoom. You will able to sign on to the meeting on your computer, smartphone, or by dialing in by phone. The Episcopal Church

The Episcopal Church continues to respond to the complex array of challenges facing immigrants across the United States, including support for children and other people seeking asylum at the U.S. southern border, assisting immigrants who are undocumented, advocating for comprehensive immigration reform, and resettling refugees through Episcopal Migration Ministries.

In a new video, The Episcopal Church: Walking with Immigrants, Presiding Bishop Michael Curry introduces five bishops whose dioceses are actively engaged in immigrant welcome. Each bishop shares ways individuals or groups can support this work. Their intent is to inspire action and to highlight the many ways people can engage with and deepen their understanding of immigration issues.

The video ends with an overview of the advocacy and refugee resettlement work done at the national level. The Rev. Canon Charles K. Robertson, Canon to the Presiding Bishop for Ministry Beyond the Episcopal Church, speaks to the Church’s 80-year commitment to immigrants and displaced persons; support which continues today through Episcopal Migration Ministries and the Episcopal Church’s Office of Government Relations (The Episcopal Public Policy Network).

A Reflection from Bishop Susan Goff:
How long, O Lord, how long? How long until our fury rises and we say, No More! How long until we end the scourge of gun violence in our land?

Our hearts break yet again, as they have so many times before. Two mass shootings in one weekend. Four in eight days. This time Latino people were targeted in El Paso. We ache with our brothers and sisters there and everywhere, especially in the Latino congregations in our own diocese. God bless them with hope as they mourn in this time of increasing fear. And God grant us all the grace, the courage and the strength to work together to say no to the white supremacist rhetoric that fuels angry, young, white men in taking up arms against our neighbors.

O Lord, hear our prayer.

Presiding Bishop Michael B. Curry

Grant, O God, that your holy and life-giving Spirit may so move every human heart [and especially the hearts of the people of this land], that barriers which divide us may crumble, suspicions disappear, and hatreds cease; that our divisions being healed, we may live in justice and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Episcopal Church

With God’s help, we can turn from the powers of sin, hatred, fear, injustice, and oppression toward the way of truth, love, hope, justice, and freedom. In turning, we reorient our lives to Jesus Christ, falling in love again, again, and again. At Thistle Farms in Nashville, we see what it is to turn from a broken system to a way of healing, from a life of pain to a life of wholeness, from our own inadequacies to fulfilment.

This video was produced by The Episcopal Church Office of Communication in partnership with Forward Movement.
