The items needed now are listed below (this list may change as shelter needs change). The shelter manager has asked that we donate only the items requested. All clothing must be new (in package or with tags attached) The Mega Shelter cannot accept used clothing.

Volunteers from St. Michael’s, St. James, and St. Timothy’s are needed to receive and organize donations as they come in. Volunteers are already in place for Monday, but plans are in place for the donation center to be open for several more weeks on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays (specific hours will be announced later). In addition, there may be other opportunities for hands-on service to support evacuees in our area. If you would like to be contacted about being a volunteer in the Hurricane Ida response efforts, please email Joy Owensby, [email protected]. Make sure you provide your cell phone number and indicate if you want to help out at St. Michael’s donation center or if you want to be contacted for any other opportunities that may come available.
