Welcome Olivia! Last Saturday, the Session voted to hire Olivia Patterson as our new Associate Pastor for Youth and Young Adults. This is a "Stated Supply" position, meaning that the person is hired by the Session, rather than the congregation as a whole, for a one year contract that can be renewed.

Olivia graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary this past May. Prior to seminary she was the Associate Director for Youth and Family Ministries and for Young Adult Ministries at Trinity Presbyterian in Atlanta for four years. Her colleagues from that time have described her as empathetic, intuitive, caring, and passionate. In her time at seminary she studied, among other things the theology of disability, provided pastoral care at a long-term care facility in New Jersey, and helped lead worship and Bible study for a church in Philadelphia through the pandemic.

On top of these excellent qualifications, Olivia is just fun. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia, mom of two adorable dogs, and can talk Star Wars and Harry Potter with you all day. We know she will be an excellent addition to the Westminster family, and look forward to welcoming Olivia and her husband Corey in August!
