Special VIP Movie Screening of Gosnell - the true story you don’t want to miss. Sept 24 in DC area

My name is Aileen, I’m writing to tell you of a preview screening of the new movie Gosnell about the trial of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell. The movie has been getting great praise from audiences around the country as it shines a light on the crimes this Kermit Gosnell committed. While the movie deals with a serious subject matter it is not graphic or explicit. The movie was made so teenagers could watch it as its PG-13.

Watch the trailer at www.gosnellmovie.com

Register below for FREE tickets to this special screening with director Nick Searcy at the AMC Hoffman 22 in Alexandria, VA at 7PM

Please feel free to share with your local groups, friends, churches and volunteers.

Sincerely,

Remember when we used to send postcards from our summer vacations and pin them on the bulletin board? Let’s update that tradition! Where are you worshipping as you travel?

O God, the life of all who live, the light of the faithful, the strength of those who labor, and the repose of the dead: We thank you for the blessings of the day that is past, and humbly ask for your protection through the coming night. Bring us in safety to the morning hours; through him who died and rose again for us, your Son our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. From the Book of Common Prayer 1979

Today we lift up the memory of our nine African American brothers and sisters murdered in their Bible study at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC. We remember their witness, the example of their community and God-like love. Have mercy, O, Lord. Help us to know each other and to do our parts in building your beloved community here on earth.

Saturday Storytime- who knows your name

Photos from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church-Alexandria, VA's post 02/28/2021

Love finding fun ways to work with our confirmation students. Last Sunday, we made chicken noodle soup together as a way of connecting to the idea of love.....
we all know how wonderful a homemade hot steamy bowl of soup is when we need to feel some love!
Here are some of the Bible passages we pondered.....
Galatians 5:14 For the whole law is summed up in a single commandment, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Psalm 139:13-14 For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.
