Pia Trigiani was recently inducted as a member of the 2013 Class of Fellows of the Virginia Law Foundation. Induction as a Fellow is conferred by the VLF Board on selected Virginia attorneys, law professors, and retired members of the judiciary who are deemed to be outstanding in their profession and in their community.
Virginia Business magazine's February issue named MercerTrigiani as a “2013 Best Work Place” in the small business category. This is the second consecutive year the firm has earned this award.

The Caron Foundation will present David Mercer with the Legal Professional Award for his outstanding legal contributions in combating the fight against chemical dependency through prevention, education or due process of the law. David Mercer, Jack Burtch-LHL president, Pat Hassard-marketing consultant, Barbara Williams-LHL president-elect and Brian Bartusiak-video producer attended the 65th Virginia Public Relations Awards. The group accepted an award for the video, "Lawyers Helping Lawyers - Confidential Road to Recovery." The video, the brainchild of David Mercer, a former LHL board member and past president, discusses attorneys and substance abuse. LHL board members present the video as part of CLE seminars to Virginia law firms, law schools, bar associations, judicial groups and treatment facilities.
On Sat, Apr 28 our attorneys, staff and family members grabbed hammers, saws and paint brushes to participate in Rebuilding Together Alexandria, the local project of National Rebuilding Day. The project involves more than 50 homes throughout Alexandria,

Pia Trigiani concluded her successful tenure as 2011 president of the Virginia Bar Association by serving as Mistress of Ceremonies during the VBA's winter meeting and formal dinner on Jan 20. The third woman in Virginia history to serve as VBA president, Pia did an outstanding job in elevating the image and mission of the VBA and addressing the critical issue of judicial vacancies within the Commonwealth. She passes the gavel to 2012 president, Hugh Fain.

[11/19/11] This month MT attorneys are garnering industry recognition. Michele Adams was elected to the Central Virginia Chapter Board of the Community Associations Institute. Jeremy Moss was named "Educator of the Year" by the Washington Metropolitan Chapter of Community Associations Institute.
Last night the Italian American Business and Professional Societa presented Pia Trigiani with an award for her leadership in Richmond's legal community. Pia joined nine other distinguished Richmonders of Italian descent named to the Societa's 2011 Hall of Fame, including former Viet Nam POW, Paul Galanti and RTD publisher Thomas Silvestri.
