There are currently opportunities to provide meals for Rhoda Barbee's family while she is undergoing her chemo regimen. At this point, Rhoda and her parents are going to Baton Rouge each week and spending a night or two there, then returning to their home in Dry Prong. If you are willing to prepare a meal for 4 adults, please consider going to the following URL and clicking on CALENDAR to find available dates.
https://mealtrain.com/2yyge7
If you are able to deliver your meal to Dry Prong, please write "will deliver" in the notes section where you sign up. If you are unable to deliver your meal, write "need delivery help" in the notes section. I will contact you to make arrangements for delivery.
Rhoda's family is very grateful for your generous help with meals and for your prayers. Thank you!
Beautiful, hopeful, meaningful Palm Sunday service! Thank you to all involved in making it happen! Loved the children’s sermon and the children with their palms. Great additions to the service!!!!!

The Home Member Care Meeting scheduled for 1:30 tomorrow (Wednesday, March 15) has been postponed for the time being.
However, Pastor Chris observes that our Home Member caregivers will be on the front lines of Emmanuel's total ministry while we are not gathering for worship and larger meetings. So this group must prepare to spring into action.
If you are willing to join forces and reach out to our Home Members and other Emmanuel members who are "at risk," would you please reply by Facebook message, text, or email to Susan Smith Cauley? You will then be invited to participate in a conference call early this week, so that we can gather virtually to receive instructions and make preparations.
Thank you in advance for your willingness to mobilize in these important efforts.
Little Pilgrims . Thanks Emmanuel for the love.
The choir sounded wonderful this morning💖 Such a beautiful message in song.
Is anyone available to help put up lights and work on the parking in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!

According to early church minutes in the archives, Emmanuel began as “...the first Southern Baptist church of Alexandria-Pineville, organized on Tuesday, September 6, 1881 with twelve charter members...” On March 30, 1893, the 56 member body held special services at the Alexandria courthouse and voted to acquire property in Alexandria, enlarge the work of the denomination in Alexandria and Pineville, and change its name to Emmanuel, meaning “God with us.” From those humble beginnings, Emmanuel has rejoiced in a proud heritage of Baptist tradition.

Be encouraged today that your efforts to love and to bless and to forgive are not in vain.

Most Sundays, after the choir sings, you will hear a heartfelt “Amen” ring out from the back of the Emmanuel sanctuary.
It’s loud and heartfelt and a good reminder to offer our praise easily and often.
