Last night our father Herbert DeWalt went to live with the Lord. He has been attending Immanuel since the late 40's and been a member since 1952. Has lived a long fulfilling life of 96 years. He was a good father to me and my brother Mike, a good father-in-law to John and grandfather to Kailtyn and John- Mark

Like so many of you, we are incredibly saddened by the developments in Afghanistan over the last several days. This is a particularly difficult time, spiritually, physically and mentally, for our veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors. We can't waste a minute in extending our love, appreciation, and support.

If you are a loved one caring for a service member or veteran, please know we are here to help you through what will be challenging days and weeks ahead.

A message to those who have not served: It’s up to us as individuals, as families, and local support systems (our LCMS Congregations, Operation Barnabas members), to remind all service members and veterans how grateful we are for the sacrifices they have made on our behalf. Now more than ever, we need to stand by those who stood by us.

Veterans: As a reminder, if you or a loved one are in crisis, contact the Veterans Crisis Line right away. Call 1-800-273-8255 (press 1 if you’re a Veteran) or text 838255.

What a cheerful photo of Immanuel members Tim and Jenny Goeglein visiting long-time member, Priscilla Cook. If you have photos of visiting ILC shut-in members, please share them. We love seeing these familiar faces.

[07/15/21]   Update to live-streaming of services:

Immanuel Lutheran Church and School will no longer be regularly live-streaming Sunday and weekday services. We still plan to utilize live-streaming capabilities for festival services and various school services throughout the year. We are currently exploring options for making sermons available in both video/audio and text forms. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School!

In recognition of Armed Forces Sunday, members of the military were invited to wear their dress uniforms to the Divine Service. Immanuel is uniquely situated and impacted by the service of many military members who are part of our congregation. We thank our brothers and sisters in Christ who serve in our nation's military and remember them in our prayers, along with everyone whose work places them in harm and danger for the safety of others.
