We meet the 2nd Sunday of every month at 2pm and the Sauturday before the last Sunday of every month at 2pm. Everyone in 5th grade and up is welcome to join!
This is a religious youth group and it involves children and church but also gets children involved in the community. We work hard but we also have fun!

[09/04/12] This Littel Ligth Of Mine I am Goning To let It Shine. Youth group members tell em what you are doing to let the Lords ligth shine thru you. I am lookign forword to meeting with each and every one of you. Have some ideas for some fundraisers, work trips, and fun things we can do in the future.
Next Sunday's Youth Group Meal:
Wibholms: Fruit Bowl and Chocolate Chips
Petersons: Syrup, sausage, pancake mix, butter, orange juice, and one bag of blueberries
VanLangens: Apple Topping and one bag of blueberries
Alex: Write a article about breakfast for palm sunday for projector
[01/19/12] With the winter weather moving in and being uncertain abt the amount of snow we are going to get we are cancelling the trip to Winter Jam. We do not want to take the chance of getting stuck or getting into an accident. I know many of the kids will be disappointed but this is for everyone's safety!
[01/18/12] Winter Jam is this Friday! There will be 10 bands, a speaker, and an illusionist! Cost is $10!! (plus a few $ to eat) We will be leaving the church at 3pm so someone will be picking students up from school early (as long as they have a note) We still have room for a couple more people. We need to know by this afternoon if you are going with.
[08/01/11] We still have a lot of corn to sell if you would like some give me a call at 515-297-4475 we have lowered the price to $4.00 a dozen and $3.00 if you want to pick it yourself I will be at the farm after work on Tuesday if you would like to stop out and get some. [07/27/11] We are going to be picking corn on Friday we meat at the church at 5 pm to eat pizza then go out to the farm and pick corn. Everyone is welcome to come and help pick. Then on Saturday we are going to be selling it for $5.00 a dozen at Tordoff's shop on old 20. Any questions give me a call 515-297-4475

[05/08/11] Today Michael Peterson is digging out the dirt around the church sign in the front of the church. He will be planting flowers there next Sunday... hopefully with more helpful hands as well!

[02/05/11] As i sit her in the hospital in Sioux City It makes you know just how important family is. And how lucky i am to have each and every one of them in my life.
[02/05/11] Our special meeting that is scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled due to a few emergencies with a couple families. Chris Van Langen has been in the hospital due to siezures and Wendy Peterson's grandma was taken into the hospital today. Please keep both families in your prayers.
[01/31/11] We are going to have a special Youth meeting on Saturday Feb. 5th from 3 to 4. We are going to talk about the youth Sunday service on the 13th, the youth fellowship on the last Sunday of Feb, the youth placemats, and a spaghetti dinner and bake sale in the future...[o:-)_☻][o:-)_☻]
[01/20/11] Winter Jam is tomorrow! Youth who are going need to meet us at the church by 4 pm! Amy Van Langen will be picking kids up at Riverbend at 2:30 if u need her to pick you up please contact her. Kids who go to Alden Elementary who plan on going will be picked up at 3:30. If you need a ride contact me. Make sure you have everything you need with you when you are picked up. The concert starts at 7pm we plan on making a stop to eat. You need $10 to get in plus $5 for your meal and any extra you wish to spend at the concert. Hope to see you all tomorrow for lots of fun!!
[01/16/11] We have a change for the meal next month. Instead of having hot pork sandwiches we are going to just do normal fellowship that day. If you have any ideas for fellowship bring them to the Youth meeting on Sunday Feb. 13th.

[01/16/11] Winter Jam is this Friday! We plan on leaving from the church at 4pm. Those who are going need to have $10 to get in and at least $5 for a meal. They may bring more than that if they wish to spend on things at the concert.
[01/09/11] This month we have Winter Jam @ Wells Fargo in Des Moines! If you plan on going please let one of the youth leaders know (Wendy Peterson, Michael Peterson or Amy Van Langen) It is on the 21st and times will be posted soon.
[12/19/10] No youth group today....we will resume youth group activities after the holidays on January 9th 2011 for pork loin dinner.

[12/12/10] Church has been cancelled this morning due to the weather.
[12/12/10] Our Christmas program that was scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed.
[12/11/10] Due to lack of snow we will not be having a sledding party after practice today but we will still be serving a drink and snack.

[11/28/10] Yesterday the youth did great making the lasagna. Today we serve at 11am. It's going to be great. (free will donation meal)

[11/23/10] We are thinking about taking the youth group to Winter Jam 2011 on January 21st 2011 at Wells Fargo in Des Moines! This is is a concert featuring 10 bands and a speaker. Cost is $10 person which a great deal.
