Today was the first day of work and our first official learning component for the unit. It was a great experience to see the impact and support of art in the community.

Today we dedicated the “Unidos” sculpture by high school students with the Apprenticeship for Art & Social Justice of Harwood Art Center. The piece celebrates the diversity of the International District, using butterflies as a symbol of transformation, journey and cultural identity. The project also provides lighting and shade. Thanks to all the partners who came together on this! #OneAlbuquerque

We had a wonderful year this year with these wonderful people! We are sad to see them go, but are looking forward to seeing where they go.

A little glimpse of our past weekend.

Young Adults gathered on the mountain for a fun weekend away from normal life. Amy Zimbelman was the retreat speaker and lead great discussions on identity and "looking the part". There was also great fun on the pond, with Human Dutch Blitz, and much more.

BIG THANKS to Lauren Weaver and Stephan Goertzen for their photography skills (see below!)
