Have been trying to listen to sermon since 11. Today's date finally showed up after 12:30 and when you click on it, it doesn't play. It acts like it wants to; but, does nothing. I've clicked on all three lines. Is anyone else having trouble?
As someone that is staying home watching our service. Was saddened that there was no music; and, that there was no affirmation at the beginning of the sermon. I appreciate very much that we have this option. Is there anyway that a song or two from the night of practice could be added? And, please add the affirmation back in. Thank you and God bless.

Morning Inspiration! You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart. 1st Peter 1:22

Jesus proved his love for us, by freely giving up his life on the cross. Through his personal sacrifice, he paid our price! He also set the standard for love, as the perfect example of living by giving. The first step in learning to sincerely love others, is setting aside our selfish pride. Having a wonderful life, is about so much more than just us! Praying to care about the well being of others, more than our own, is a great place to start. Next is allowing the Holy Spirit to completely take over our heart. Truly loving others grows our desire to make sure they have all they need; even if suppling it means we end up with less. While sharing from our pocketbook is where it should start, a sincere love for others must eventually come from deep inside the heart. That is impossible without the supernatural love that Jesus modeled for us, and still abundantly offers…so that we may freely pass it on to others.

Morning Inspiration! This should be your ambition: To live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we commanded you before. As a result, people who are not Christians will respect the way you live, and you will not need to depend on others to meet your financial needs. 1st Thessalonians 5:11-12

The respect of others is something we earn, over time. Seeing us truly living out the principles of our Christian faith, brings admiration for who we are, and what we believe. Living life God's way, requires us to be busy workers, not busy-bodies. Our relationship with Jesus teaches us to provide for our own family and the needy in the church. That’s the first step towards being able to help take care of others in the world. It’s difficult to save those who are drowning, if your own life is a sinking ship.

Morning Inspiration! Then his disciples began arguing about which of them was the greatest. But Jesus knew their thoughts, so he brought a little child to his side. Then he said to them, “Anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me also welcomes my Father who sent me. Whoever is the least among you is the greatest.” Luke 9:46-48

It’s only natural to want to be ‘the best’ at what we do. Many aspire to be great; at the front of the pack, making important decisions and ruling over others. Jesus totally turned the tables on that way of thinking. He taught that the way to greatness in the eyes of God, was through serving those who can’t help themselves. Whether it’s a small child, or an elderly adult; someone who is struggling with their finances, health, or an addiction…even someone who is just lonely and lost…they are each important to Jesus! He expects us, as his followers, to walk in his footsteps; to live out the example he modeled. That means giving up our personal desires to advance, in order to help others. 2,000 years later, this is still important! Those who actually walked with Jesus, fell into the natural trap of desiring power and prestige. It continues to snare way too many of us today. It’s time we take a good honest look inward. If we are spending all of our money, and most of our time on our own household and family, we are falling short! Every time we catch ourself desiring to be at the top of the ladder, we must instead, take a good look at serving the needs of those on the bottom wrung.

Morning Inspiration! The instructions of the Lord are perfect,
reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple. The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. Psalm 19:7-8

As a new Believer many years ago, I was skeptical of God’s Word. It seemed hard to understand. Along with that, were things that seemed counter intuitive to what I’d always felt or been taught about life. It didn’t seem like they could possibly be right! And to be honest, I was afraid Scripture was going to keep me from having fun! My mentors encouraged me to simply trust God’s Word was true, and to allow the Holy Spirit to guide me through. That was perfect advice, that I’ve shared with others many times in the 30 years since. Trusting that what the Lord said was true, and doing my best to ‘Live It’ proved to be extremely wise, and very beneficial in every aspect of my life. The biggest surprise was the joy it brought to my heart and soul.
Even if you don’t believe in Jesus right now, give his words a fair chance. Live your life ‘as if’ his words are true. Then watch for amazing things to begin happening inside you! You’ll come to clearly understand God’s insight into living, and invite Jesus to be your Lord & Savior.

Hoping you'll join us this morning, for a large dose of much needed encouragement! My message is titled Sadness, Sorrow & Our Hope For Tomorrow! A lot of us are feeling down due to the state of the world (think the Virus/Afghanistan, etc.) along with our own family and personal challenges. Many feel beat up and worn down. We go to Scripture to see that sadness and sorrow are part of our spiritual DNA. The issue is not that we often feel that way, but how we deal with it, to express our pain and frustration, in ways that are pleasing to God. We've got coffee and donuts and will meet at 8; expecting to get you out by 9:30am. Bring a friend who needs some encouragement and/or fellowship. Guys, we've been through a lot these past few years. God is still on the throne. Jesus is coming soon. We've each got lots of good and important things left to do, before our time is through. See you soon! Pastor Steve Stucker

Morning Inspiration! For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? Romans 10:13-14

Paul asks a few very direct questions, that are EXTREMELY important to every Believer! Faith in Jesus is not designed to be hidden away, or used only for our own benefit. We are each expected to share what we know about Jesus, with every person who will listen! Most of us shy away; feeling unprepared or unqualified. The truth is, that’s exactly what the enemy wants us to believe. Once we understand that sharing Jesus is a gift we are not only allowed, but expected to give to others, our entire outlook changes. It can start with something as simple as casually sprinkling God into your conversations. Listen carefully to what’s going on in the lives of your friends, family and coworkers. Offer to pray for them; or even better…with them. An invitation to join you at church or a ministry event is an easy starting point for many. I highly recommend a book with an amazingly simple and highly effective method; Share Jesus Without Fear by William Fay.

Morning Inspiration! Why won't you listen? Why do you refuse to see? Who in all the world is as blind as my own people, my servant? Who is as deaf as my messengers?...You see and understand what is right but refuse to act on it. You hear but you don't really listen. Isaiah 42:18-20

Isaiah was speaking to the Jewish nation about 2,700 years ago...but his words still ring true today in the USA. We have open access to hear God's Word, but don't really listen to what he has to say. We clearly see his instructions, but don’t always obey. If you're wincing at this, it's probably because the truth hurts. No one; not even our pastors and leaders, are immune to the problem of disobedience. Seeing what is right, but not doing it, is worse than not seeing at all! "Lord, help us point the finger of accusation only at ourselves today, not others. We are blessed to so often hear and see who you expect us to be; let us strive to make that our reality! Remind us that others will be much more likely to accept the truth of your words Jesus, when they recognize them being lived out in us every day, through the things we think, do and say.”
