[09/19/13] For Friday we'll discuss 2 Nephi 1. On Monday/Tuesday it will be 2 Nephi 2. There's some great things in here. It would be great to see your thoughts about these chapters before class.
Whoops! I got a little behind. Watch this from President Uchtdorf and compare to 1 Nephi 20. It's awesome!
lds.org The gift of the Atonement of Jesus Christ provides us at all times and at all places with the blessings of repentance and forgiveness.
[09/05/13] Thursday and Friday we're finishing 1 Nephi 8 and going into 10-13. The Tree of Life is so much fun to study! On Monday/Tuesday we'll discuss 1 Nephi 14-15.
[09/03/13] We're discussing 1 Nephi 7 & 8 today and tomorrow. Let us know what you think of these chapters. I still think it would be neat if Laman and Lemuel were as excited about going back and gettting their scriptures as they seem to be about going back and getting girls. :D Anyway, what do you see from these chapters that relates to "The Family"? Take Care!

[08/27/13] For Wed/Thur classes we'll be "Squeezing" 1 Nephi 3:7 and discussing 1 Nephi 5. For Friday, we'll discuss 1 Nephi 6 and 9. If you have any comments or questions about anything you study in these chapters, feel free to post them. Seminary is the best!!
[08/22/13] For Friday we will be discussing 1 Nephi 2. For Monday/Tuesday we will discuss 1 Nephi 3-4. Also, be sure to ask your child to teach you the storyline of the Book of Mormon that we'll be learning. I sent a copy to your email. Also, be sure to finish marking the 25 Scripture Mastery Scriptures. Feel free to post comments on any of the reading before or after class. We can use comments as a way to begin our discussions. See ya!
Here's another picture.
The first week of seminary has been awesome! Here are some pictures of things students have brought to help us remember the Savior. For Wednesday and Thursday classes we'll discuss The Testimony of the Witnesses and Joseph Smith and 1 Nephi 1. Students are asked to come with a question, "Why...?" from the scripture block to help start the discussion as well as mark the 25 Scripture Mastery Scriptures.

To stay on track to read The Book of Mormon by the end of the school year, we should be on Alma 58 by the end of the week. Here's a great quote by Marion G. Romney:
“I feel certain that if, in our homes, parents will read from the Book of Mormon prayerfully and regularly, both by themselves and with their children, the spirit of that great book will come to permeate our homes and all who dwell therein. The spirit of reverence will increase; mutual respect and consideration for each other will grow. The spirit of contention will depart. Parents will counsel their children in greater love and wisdom. Children will be more responsive and submissive to the counsel of their parents. Righteousness will increase. Faith, hope, and charity—the pure love of Christ—will abound in our homes and lives, bringing in their wake peace, joy, and happiness” (Ensign, May 1980, p. 67).
Great new Mormon Message!
