Youth group of El Buen Samaritano United Methodist Church, Albuquerque, NM; Rio Grande Conference.
We are a Christian youth group which is open to youth ages 12(6th grade)-17(12th grade). We are open to all youth in this age group no matter what religion or church they attend and even if they don't go to a church they are welcome to hang out with us!! We meet twice a month, on the 1st Sunday and 3rd Sunday of the month from 5:30p-8p. We eat dinner together, play some games or do some kind of activity and then have bible study which is usually a bible study video and then a short message from one of our coordinators.
Mission: Our mission is get young people to give their lives to Jesus Christ!! We do this by being examples of His love, teaching them His love for us and how He wants us to love others by study of God's word, and by showing them the different means of grace they have available to them to start, grow and keep a strong relationship with God and our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. Teenage years are usually a very difficult time in life and we hope to assist them in knowing that God is the best guidance for not only this difficult time but also for their entire life. In the end, it's all about love!!

[05/23/13] Enchiladas!! Hope everybody is ready for our big enchilada and cake auction fundraiser on Sunday!I don't even know if I'm ready yet, but I know the Lord will help us get through all the work that needs to be done. Hope everyone is enjoying being out of school!! Don't be bored, clean the house or something nice for your parents! God bless you all!
[05/22/13] It's easy to get caught up in the things around us. Part of that is sometimes we can start making the mistake of thinking the most important stuff in life is our stuff. The horrible tornadoes in Oklahoma are a real reminder of what the bible tells us, things we can see are only temporary. Do not shore up treasures on earth that can be stolen or taken away from us but shore up treasures in Heaven! Bad things happen, we lose things that are important to us and sometimes life doesn't seem fair but the one and only thing that we can always count on is God. Put your faith in Him and know that He loves you!!
[04/14/13] Last night's lock in was a huge success!! I hope everyone that was there had a great time, I'm pretty sure you all did. I had a blast myself!! It's gonna take me a while to recover from staying up all night with all you crazies but it was totally worth it. God bless you all and if you need prayer for anything or anything else at all please let us know.

[02/08/13] Hello everyone!! The weekend is here!! Yayer, that means it's almost Sunday!! My favorite day of the week, hope you all make it to worship wherever it is you go!! Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Lent begins 40 days before Easter(not counting Sundays) and we start with ashes because in the Bible they signify mourning or sorrow. We are sorrowful for our sins and the ashes are a way of showing we are ready to repent of those sins which can also be paired with some type of self sacrifice. That's why you hear of people giving up things for Lent!! It is a very powerful time of year in the life of a believer and follower of Jesus Christ because we remember how great His love is for us. Please remember to reach out to us if you need prayer of anything at all and God bless you all!!
[01/25/13] Hello!! Man it's been a while we haven't posted anything, not cool!! I missed our meeting this past week but I heard everyone had a good time and there was a great discussion and bible study with Caroline Olivas. Many thanks to her for that!! Please pray for Shyann, Paul and Tomas as they will be headed to San Antonio for a CCYM retreat. This weekend is Feed the Need and I know that almost our whole group is going to rep for EBS Youth!! Praise God for that and for the opportunity to serve Him by serving the needy!! God bless you all and I'll be praying for you, yes all of you!!
[01/09/13] Hello everyone!! I know you guys were just dying to go back to school so hopefully it's been good to be back so far. Our meeting this Sunday was really great!! You ladies need to step up your b-ball game though!! hahaa jk next time we'll try some indoor soccer maybe. I hope you all like the bible study and I am so blessed at how many of you are joining in the 7 day corporate fast Pastor has called!! I have been praying for you all like crazy. God bless you!
[01/05/13] On the 12th day of Christmas my true love gave to meeee!! hahaa just playin but that's what today is!! That means tomorrow is Epiphany Sunday or The Day of the Kings. It's when we celebrate the arrival of the magi, or wisemen, to baby Jesus. Some Christian traditions also hold that this was the day of Jesus' baptism by His cousin John. Either way we have reason to celebrate so get to church tomorrow and worship!! We're also having a youth meeting tomorrow night at 5:30p. I know it's been a while but I'm pretty excited about the bible study we'll be doing, I hope you guys like it too!! Hope to see you all there and God bless you!!
[01/02/13] Hello everyone!! Hope everything is good, if not let's pray about it! We're always here if you need prayer. Tonight we'll be at the church feeding homeless and needy people so come on down if you want to use your blessings to be a blessing to others!! Also it's the 9th day of Christmas!! With 9 ladies dancing?!? Weird I know, but it can also be attributed to the 9 fruits of the Holy Spirit which are love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. Galatians 5:22, check it out!! For Catholics there's 3 more...God bless you all!!
[01/01/13] Happy New Year everyone!! In less than 5 hours 2012 will be over. I think this has been a great year for our youth group and I hope we will continue to grow in number and in our faith!! Today is also the 7th day of Christmas. Today someone's true love gave them 7 swans a swimming. hahaa That's right!! Let me drop some knowledge for you, the 12 days of Christmas are the 12 days between Christmas eve and Jan 6th. Jan 6th is the Day of the Kings, the day the we celebrate when the wisemen found baby Jesus. God bless you all and be safe tonight if your going out!!
[12/31/12] Hola!! Let me just say I love Sundays!! I pray and worship everyday but that chance to gather with fellow worshipers in the house of the Lord is awesome and I love it! I was blessed to see many of our youth in worship today and for those of you who don't go to our church I hope you took advantage of your opportunity to go to church and worship today. It's one of the many means of grace we have available to us. Means of grace is a fancy term in our Wesleyan heritage for the opportunities God has given us to get closer to Him and grow in our relationship with Him. Prayer, singing, fasting, and reading scripture are some others. The advent season we've been celebrating reminds us that God is with us now, get as close to Him as you can! God bless you all!!
[12/29/12] Hello everyone!! Hope you all have been enjoying your Christmas vacation!! Just wanted to send a reminder, I'll be at Coronado park tomorrow morning and it would be a huge blessing to me and everyone else there if any of you would like to join me in serving the Lord by helping the needy. Also we need to be in prayer for Roxanne Romero Fuentes, a member of our church. The doctors haven't given her long to live but we want to continue to join our faith together and believe in the Lord for a miracle. God bless you all.
[12/24/12] It's Christmas Eve!! Hope you all have been having a great Advent season so far!! Thanks again to everyone who came and helped put luminarias together. We'll be setting up over 100 luminarias around the church for tonight's candlelight Christmas Eve service at 6p. Be there early if you'd like to help!! It's also a communion service so I hope to see you all there!! God bless you all and Merry Christmas!!
