How often will morning prayer be on Facebook?
With his stripes, we are healed. The egg you sent is covered with red and gold beeswax in honor of the Great Vigil prayer for the work of the bees.
Live yet? I am talking Bea and John through getting onto the feed from a distance. I don't see the "live" button myself, so double-checking.
Let’s all remember to include our wonderful clergy-people and staff during this difficult time. We are truly blessed to have them.
Thanks to all of you or this beautiful service...
A beautiful morning of worship, a festive potluck brunch, and the burning of last year’s palms in preparation for Ash Wednesday.

LECTIO DIVINA FOR TODAY:
Listen with the ear of your heart.

Incline your ear, and come to me; hear, that your soul may live.
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah, 55:3, 10-11

Goodwill GoodDeeds Fundraising Partnership Program Ends

For many years, Goodwill Industries of New Mexico has partnered with local nonprofit organizations, including St. Michael's. It’s been a wonderful fundraising venture that has benefited many individuals that our respective organizations pledge to serve. However, due to the on-going Covid-19 pandemic and the new environment in which we are all operating, the program will end.

Final pickup of bins will begin this week. If you would like to donate anything in the very near future, contact [email protected].

Starting TONIGHT! Newcomers Class at St. Michael's, via Zoom

Are you wondering what it means to be Church when we can’t physically gather? Do you have questions about the efficacy of eucharistic theology (aka rituals and rules around communion) in the Anglican tradition in the midst of a global pandemic? Are you curious what your baptism has to do with your daily life? Are you new to the Episcopal Church in general or St. Michael’s in particular?

If you answered “yes”—or even “kinda”—to any of those questions, this class is for you!
Beginning Wednesday, September 2, the St. Michael’s Newcomers class will meet on Zoom from 6:30-8pm for 8 weeks.

Using Walk in Love: Episcopal Beliefs and Practices as our shared text, our time together will consist largely of conversation and reflection, augmented by a few presentations and guest speakers. Hard copies of the book will be available through St. Michael’s.

For additional information or to register for the class, please contact Mandy ([email protected]).

Who Do You Say That You Are?
Jesus teaches about identity...

Who Do You Say That You Are?
+++
He [Jesus] said to them, "But who do you say that I am? " Simon Peter said in reply, "You are the Christ." - Matthew 16:15-16
+++
Jesus' ... question invited his disciples to journey inward - to move from the superficial to the spiritual level of reality. ... Christ offers us the same invitation.
+++
Examen: Who do others say that you are? Who do you say that you are? Practice detaching your sense of identity from all descriptors. Simply rest as a beloved in Christ.
